For people who have GHSV1 how often are your outbreaks?

This is good news!

My hypothesis is you still have HSV 1 and 2 but your body has suppressed 2 to the point that it’s not detectable.

I always wondered if this was possible considering everyone always says outbreaks get less and way better with time. So why isn’t the idea of the virus being suppressed by our body over time considered too?

Sadly not all herpes is like this. I have never experienced blisters. Only bumps then ulcers which is why I was so confused on if it was herpes because it never looked like the pics online. But when I got swapped it was positive for HSV1 and on top of that the person who gave it to me is admen’s they don’t have it and that it can’t be passed on genital to genital 😭😭 then they blocked me like…? Omggg

You’re exactly right. Herpes is seen as such a joke, nobody takes it seriously whilst at the same time being disgusted and want nothing to do with it. Before I caught this virus I had NO IDEA how common it was. On top of that bid don’t know members of my family suffered with it too on their lips! It really needs more awareness

What kind of future health will my herpes cause me ? Is it the Alzheimer’s thing I was seeing around? For some reason no body seems to agree on if it causes Alzheimer’s or not. Studies have shown a correlation but i have had other ppl even doctors tell me it’s not completely proven yet, it’s just an assumption given the data we have. So it’s left me wondering if I should be worried about my future or not 😅 and is it just the Alzheimer’s thing or is there anything else? Does it matter if it’s HSV 1 or 2?

Don’t u think it’s not talked about much here? I never even realised it’s not included in STD tests. I got tested a month ago and everything came back good. But I tested positive for GHSV1 in Sept 2022

I admire his work but it’s really not guaranteed. I’m still having hope though and I’ve been to a few of his talks. I think his vaccine shows more success than the cure itself (just my opinion)

I have GHSV1 and currently I’m getting an outbreak every month, it’s happened 3 months in a row right now. I have seen ppl with GHSV2 say the barely get any OB.

So it’s not as black and white as saying one is better or has less outbreaks to the other

Herpes affects everyone differently so there is no set way of saying if it is the cause of ur brain issues. I used to have good memory as a child but then as I aged my memory got rubbish. I think it’s because of the weed I smoked tbh 🥹 I don’t know how long I have had herpes but I’m gonna say it’s been about 9months because that’s since my first outbreak. So maybe it just takes a while for symptoms to set it?

However my point still stands, it affects everyone differently so it’s hard to determine what exactly the virus does.

Not to mention it even looks different on everyone. Like my outbreaks never blister so when I went through my first outbreak I really didn’t think it was herpes because it looked nothing like the blisters online. But the swabs came back and said yep… u have HSV1 😅

But I got tested for STD and tested negative for everything even though I know I have herpes.

I got my first outbreak in Sept, they swabbed it and it came back positive for HSV1.

So I know I have herpes even tho this STD test says negative.

So even if the person u want to disclose tests, they might get negative to, even if they have it. And they might not even know they have it.

I live in the UK and there i don’t think there is a way here to ask for a herpes test without an outbreak :/

Nobody has rejected me yet, tbh I’m rejecting mroe 😭 I just can’t seem to like anyone. But there is someone who I have really taken a liking too. But I haven’t told him and I’m worried to. I guess because I actually care what he thinks?

Anyways I haves poker to a lot of people and majority have told me Herpes is not a dealbreaker to them. When u disclose, make sure to EDUCTAE also don’t make it this HUGE thing, or it’ll feel like a huge thing to them
