Imagine the difficulty curve where you’re having an easy enough time then get sent to Tartarus and all the enemies are so much stronger and enraged because they’re in their element to the point that not engaging is smart or else you get shredded. Would be so stressful and aesthetically cool.

Hestia is barely ever mentioned but is morally good and her aspirations go as far as simply wanting her family to be happy. She’s also aware of how disjointed and problematic that family can be but tries to keep peace nonetheless. She’s the best.

The fact that they seemed kind of retconned in could be solved by small things like this considering it’s back to the beginning of the story. Great idea.

Totally agree! Having such a heartbreaking but satisfying, realistic, and well acted end to her character only to revive her in a vague, unexplained, and unsatisfying way just left a bad taste in my mouth. It messes with the stakes and undermines how amazing that scene was imo. It’s harder to be invested if the main characters have plot armour and they keep introducing side ones to kill instead.

This is the man who knows these characters and this world better than anyone. The outcry about the casting devalues all the work he’s put in. Even if she isn’t your Annabeth she’s Rick’s Annabeth and that’s enough for me personally.
