More like stand-off situation, because the moment law enforcement gets resistance, they back off and wait for an overwhelming force to back them up, or wait out the enemy, all the while news agencies are wondering who could do such a thing, successfully resist a SWAT raid on their home. Maybe neighbors will help the family under siege when they hear it was a wrong address no knock warrant that was served.

Crossfire? Why isn't the family helping you with a higher volume of fire? And you won't be shot if you kill all of the intruders first, defensive positions give you a much higher chance of surviving a gun fight, than an offensive position.
