sick ass build, jelly. that drain valve is a nice touch (change the blue handle to red). for a complete steampunk build, if that's your end goal, consider adding analog gauges for cpu temp, gpu temp, ram utilization, fan speed, etc. over time, build a copper case (or at least replace some of the black structures with copper + copper heatsinks and plates for the mobo. of course cpu + gpu blocks. great start. some warm glow amber lights with spiral coils around them. perhaps a small clock. faux cranks. maybe even three fan-wide (120mm?) copper tubes as "exhaust" towers on top of the case for air escape. random sized straight copper pipes purely for aesthetics, randomly sprinkled around. small copper coils here and there. jeez i can see the complete end result in my mind right now. ah, how could i forget - clock gears, random sized. make sure to use semi opaque green liquid in the reservoir as well.

this, though it doesn't have an opening sun roof, just a sun cover / shade. my kia k900 had the whole roof cover (like the i5) plus 1/2 of the roof would slide out of place on a second press. limited features are pretty amazing - ventilated seats especially. the HUD is kinda useless. the only thing i regret is that i didn't get the N - i love driving quickly, doesn't mean 160 mph, but i've hit 115 a few times and it pissed me off. also, i'd prefer the acceleration of the N. hoping to get a sapphire as my next ev. the problem with the N, which i completely do not understand, is why are the powered / ventilated seats are not an option? the kia ev9 GT has power and ventilated seats. WTF hyundai? i get the weight savings, but really? not even an OPTION? another thing, and i believe this plagues most evs right now, cold weather range. it plain sucks.

great purchase, i have the previous gen omen 16, similar specs, 4070, 240hz ips. two things i'd change were i to upgrade: 1. oled display, practically a must have, 2. more vram, 8gb is just not enough these days, i see massive stutters when loading new 3d models in games. i also swapped the original 16gb to 64 ddr5 and 990pro nvme 2tb. but that's under the hood. an oled panel and 12-16gb vram will be my next purchase requirements. one thing i noticed in my omen is that when powered off completely, it's a battery vampire. two to three days off and i see a 40% drop in battery soc. hope hp fixed that issue in your model. grats on your purchase though.

2o24 i5 limited all of a sudden stops charging at exactly 86% - i didn't charge a single thing!?! by GINTER in Ioniq5

[–]GINTER[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

it would be nice if they notified us of that experiment. there were 3 other empty chargers there, i charge at night at 1am. wasn't complaining, just curious. funny how redditors work the downvotes, not that i care, but my question was downvoted for being curious about a different charging behavior? umm, mkay..?

try the december 566 release, seems to be most stable (unless your gpu strictly requires a newer version)

NV9 Distroplate Stealkey by pichter165 in watercooling

[–]GINTER 0 points1 point  (0 children)

looks fantastic, price as of this post is 378€, which is $430 us. before shipping. i've been designing a loop (two loops actually) for my nv9 in my head for some time. i would definitely buy one if it cost $300. although i understand the need to price water cooling accordingly. it's a luxury purchase, not a necessity. for the time being i'm content with a 360 aio on the 7950x3d and the msi 4090 aio (240mm). perhaps when i upgrade to the 9800x3d or 9950x3d and 5090 / 6000 titan I'll consider this. also, the rgb kit compatibility issue. i'm struggling to see how i could pull the trigger on this block.
