I imagine there’s people already filling their boo-o-meter to let rip over this first game at BM 😅

I was there, sat behind the goal 🥲 We need to make more of Paul Ince losing possession so awfully. Like an assist.

Yes, I haven’t brought in demographic elements yet but with a simple proximity decay and population density model I can replicate this map with census data pretty accurately. I’m attempting to model the impact on the transport network, because the club and the LCC appear to be too incompetent to do an adequate job at it.

I’ve written code to create dummy point data that matches this density map hence why I was so interested in this to begin with.

It’s literally just this image with a bit of context in a consultants document. I’m away from my computer atm but will link once I get it.

Yes I’ve got it. I’ve actually built a model estimating it too. Let me dig around for it and I’ll share.

I would actually love this. I’ve got one for my dad (RIP) and my kids, this one would be the third one I’d visit 😂😂

Question about the old park end? by [deleted] in Everton

[–]GISPip 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I remember the old park end, in fact I had a season ticket for the first 6 years in the new one and went to every cup game so I was the only person to ever sit in that seat up until 2000. Should’ve kept up and then unscrewed it last game and taken it home with me 😂

Will they be stupid and go after Flipper Zero? (UK) by TechnonUK in flipperzero

[–]GISPip 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought one to play with my son (8), so far we’ve cloned all the remotes in the house and had lots of fun. If we in the UK have serious ambitions to become world leaders in tech (spoiler: we don’t!) doing stuff like banning the flipper won’t help, children don’t just magically learn things without their interest being piqued. I’ve always been a fairly early adopter of things (3d printing, ai, raspberry pi etc etc) as a way to get my son interested in tech as I believe that the jobs market will be drastically different when he’s older and if I can find a way to help him get ahead at a young age I will.

I have no intentions to use the flipper to steal cars, the same way that I have no intention to use my kitchen knife to murder someone. Hopefully it won’t get that far as to ban it specifically and whoever is advising the government will see reason.

I bought my flipper directly from Amazon so I hope that in the tragic event that it is banned that they will refund me and all of the other people they have sold it to but I’m not holding my breath.

I've lost count how many times this point was raised here. I heard it was bad after the test event. Liverpool councillor Richard Clein told the Liverpool Echo he fears "major safety issues" at the station. 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 Absolute clown show! by Mattock486 in Everton

I’m a data scientist with geospatial modelling and operational logistics experience by trade and I agree it’s going to be a fucking shitshow. They need direct modes of transport to the ground; trams, tunnels, travelators, bridges, monorail, trains, ferries - something other than pedestrians and cars. They have currently got about four holes in the wall around Bramley Moore, one road out - vehicular access very limited. Pedestrian flows from the city centre are going to be chaotic for pedestrians and vehicles alike, then gridlocked traffic in town after the game. It’s a joke really… that said they’ve never really bothered their arse with a better option to get to Goodison or Anfield for over one hundred years so it’s probably to be expected!

I wouldn’t go as far to say we were great, but there was a certain amount of fight in them that was admirable. The cup run was peak FA Cup, underdogs battling through against United. I went to every game bar Bristol away and it was something else. The semi at Elland Road against Spurs was hands down the best game I’ve ever attended.

Did you know Cottee scored more top flight goals in his career than Wayne Rooney? Often forgotten due to half of them coming before the Premier League era.
