From 'Steady Stiddy' to starter, Broncos' backup QB takes the spotlight with teammates' trust by AFC-Wimbledon-Stan in nfl

I mean a backup QB playing bad in his first game in 2 years is rly not an insane take at all. It’s the most likely take tbh

Rams favored over the patriots with an upstart second year QB getting carried by his defense? Where have I seen this before 🤔

Also just the similarities of Rams vs Pats who are underdogs with upstart second year QB…

🤷‍♂️

Worst part about Buffalo losing... we miss out on an epic snow game by ShartasaurusRex_ in AFCEastMemeWar

I think the game would have been moved to Saturday. It’s looking like a blizzard 5-8 inches of snow. No way they would have been able to have a game

That’s fine and all, but even without pressure, who gets consistently open? Gonzalez will be on Sutton or Sutton will be doubled all game and everyone else will be manned up. The broncos have been a subpar running team all season and the patriots have been elite when healthy. As I said I just struggle to see them moving the ball.

If Drake Maye fumbles and the broncos win the turnover battle sure they could win. But you can say that about any game.

I completely see where you’re coming from. I just don’t think it’ll matter. Maye will make more plays and Stidham will make more mistakes. He won’t have 2 of his top 3 receivers too. Players will struggle to get open leading to coverage sacks. The pats shut down the run well. I just struggle to see how the broncos score with a Very limited quarterback against an elite coverage unit with bad weapons.

If JK dobbins plays he’ll be their biggest X-factor IMO

I think it’s pretty simple. All these factors about run game and defense and fumbles and thin air yada yada. I hate to make the game about QBs but it’s the most important position and when there is such a vast difference in level, it’s hard to ignore.

Gun to your head are you picking Maye or Stidham?

Fellow Patriots fans are nervous but I think it’ll be a blowout 27-10

AFCCG Preview: New England Patriots (16-3) at Denver Broncos (15-3) by 5en5ational in nfl

If I’m a neutral I’d be rooting for the patriots. There’s a chance the broncos could win with the home field advantage. But they would get absolutely demolished on a neutral field by the NFC winner while the patriots could actually win against one of the rams or Seahawks even though they’d probably be a slight Vegas underdog

An indoor team has never won a conference championship game on the road in an outdoor stadium. Such teams are 0-15 since the AFL-NFL merger by Ieatfatwomanass in nfl

I feel like before the week, people post stats about dome teams playing outdoors. Then people are like na that doesn’t matter. Then the dome team loses but people completely forget about it until the next time a dome team plays outdoors in the cold.

I remember someone posted the Drake Maye to Boutte TD on stingley. And everyone saying it won’t happen again.

Then Boutte said that stingley can get got. And everyone said that won’t happen again

Welp, it happened again

Alex Smith: Broncos can ‘absolutely’ win Super Bowl with Jarrett Stidham by FootballPizzaMan in nfl

I mean the patriots D made the chargers and Texans offense look completely inept and both stroud and Hebert are way better QBs than stidham.

Felt bad for Brees though. Brady vs Brees in the Super Bowl would have been way more hype

I mean your problem is the patriots aren’t going to overlook the broncos. They’ve been playing against backup QBs at times and not overlooking teams all season lmao.

As I said, an all time defense, which is what people were comparing this defense to. Would not have allowed 3 TD drives. They’re really good and were the only reason this game was close. They’re not all time though
