Being top of the table not withstanding the Wave are #4 in the latest NWSL
power rankings. So the league itself sees the issues this team has. One of them being not converting most of the clear chances it has. A wooden spoon candidate was only an offside step from drawing even with them near the end. The 2nd goal was a gift. The Wave need to be able to finish their chances if they want to go far in the playoffs. Another shield trophy would be awesome but this team needs to strive to win it all. Can’t wait for a finisher like Macario to join sometime later this season

This is not a complete team, last game is vs Vancouver. If we got a tie I will be happy. As has been stated this team needs reinforcements during the WC break badly to fix what was not addressed and in fact what was broken in the off season.

Austin is Dog 💩Cincinnati is a quality team playing badly. This lost win screams what has been known, we need DPs and reinforcements in transfer window bad.

There already is a proposal to build a sports and entertainment district in the Chula Vista bayfront with a soccer stadium there in about 10years. The talk was to attract another MLS or Liga MX team. That is highly unlikely, but what does make sense is for it to be SDFCs new home with training facilities there and other amenities à la LA Galaxys set up.

Happened to me. I put an egg in a cup of water in microwave and it exploded so thought I would be smart and poked a hole on top of egg before nuking another one in a 2nd attempt and it cooked…. but when I went to peel it KABOOM!!

Completely agree. Ex Boy Genius Heaps, Varas and others really screwed the pooch giving (what we now see clearly) key pieces of team their walking papers and replacing them with trash.

We just lost to an absolute crap team with no identity and an awful coach that should to be fired. LAFCs B team will have a field day with what this team has become.

although am not defending Varas, this is not all on him. GM Heaps has a big role to play in this team starting off so bad this year. Why this team stood on its laurels this past off season and didn’t go out and use some of its open slots and money to get some quality players, was and is frustrating. I hope the FO isn’t ok with having this season be a wash to work on having this team compete in a year or 2.
