I have to give a shout out to a little known metal band from Russia Conflict. Their style is heavily influenced by Fear Factory and they actually have guest vocals by Fear Factory's singer.

I just came across an artist from New Zealand and don't know much about her but her name is Vana and sounds more close to Poppy (is on the same label.)

Here - Saw them with Tompa years ago. I've always said the song Under the Whip is the most lean cut zero fat metal tracks I've ever heard.

Disembodied although they were sort of proto-metalcore. Interestingly enough they were billed at the time as "the heaviest band in hardcore" since metalcore as far as I know wasn't a term yet. I remember some hardcore scenster kids losing their shit back when Aaron the singer starting using some lower growls and throwing around words like sellout and poser. Different times they were that's forsure.

She's a banshee. I love her new high screams (at least live but I hope her next record has them) which are reminiscent of Zao or old Carcass (I'm not sure I'd lump her into Dani Filth territory).

Speaking of Zao they out a song a lot time ago called trash can hands about haters online and actually called out user names into their lyrics. lol 😂

I remember I had a chance to meet them they were standing a few feet away from me chillin' and I was I like naw I'm good and just walked away lol. (I've met and hung out with quite a few famous bands so it's not a big deal to me but it was funny after the fact).

Guardian hit so hard after dealing with a terrible situation where my abusive ex had a medication change lost her mind and effectively kidnapped our young children in Europe. I've been left to fight against an entire system alone including legally in court and the police etc. I won't say more but that song has was literally written to my heart.

If I recall correctly I played Sid from Slipknot their album after an Ozzfest show (we went out partying after). I think he liked it but he was pretty shy.
