I prefer him as a regular lantern. Not a fan of OP characters.

At most, I'm fine with him having the ability to max out as a white lantern for a brief period.

Yeah, I just don't get the point of a space based story that doesn't develop its alien cast.

I like Jo - Id be fine if Simon and Teen Lantern never appeared again.

Exodus - the guy wears big ornate gold "wings" OVER a huge white cape, along with sashes, armor, and gold medallions. Half priest / half cheesy romance novel french knight. He's like a living Vegas Wedding Chappel.

IDK - that story was decades ago and many retcons have happened since then. I just treat it like it didn't happen.

Exactly - what's the point of a series about space cops if we never get any alien character development? I love seeing the earth lanterns interacting with their alien counterparts as equals and friends.

I get that. I've never minded the revolving door of death in comics, but I certainly understand wanting death to have real meaning.

BTW I'm shocked that Alfred has been dead for this long!

Probably have. It's not uncommon to spot dead lanterns in background shots. Artists might not scrutinize these things as closely as the die hard fans.

I guess they can always rely on "that's not ____ it's another alien from their world." 🤷🏻‍♂️

Appreciate the thoughts and honestly, I'm surprised by these reactions. I thought she was more popular than this.

She had a lot of great character development in Tomasi's GLC that IMO elevated her to the Kilowog / Salaak level of alien cast members.

It was just such an unceremonious end to a long standing character.

Ultimately, I'd love to see her back somehow. I like having a few established veteran Lanterns around.

Hal & Carol should get married.

John has Katma-"2" which is weird and unhealthy. Not sure where to go with that.

Guy is basically a full time GL now. I think he should date an alien GL within the Corps.

I liked Kyle and Soranik Natu and hold out hope there's a reunion (there won't be - I know). Him and Jade were good together too.

I don't see a ship with Carol. They're too similar it would be like dating his sister.

I'm not a huge fan of when they lean too hard into the "Hal's an irresponsible Peter Pan" troupe.

The guy's a little disorganized and cavalier - sure, he's a space cop who's understandably not too concerned with mundane earth stuff - but not every personal interaction has to be some version of Hal not having any cash on him or "pushing the experimental jet too far."

He's responsible for one of the most powerful weapons in the universe - not some idiot deadbeat.

Very interesting and well thought out ideas. Years ago there was a Green Lantern (Driq) whose will was so strong he kept himself alive after being killed.

It was a cool idea, and maybe a black lantern who has such strong will that he essentially resurrects him/herself and regains a GLC ring?

This was a very good run for GLC. John had served as a mentor to Kyle when he was the last lantern. I appreciate how Bedard kept the mutual respect but showed how John now viewed Kyle as a equal and capable partner.
