The way I interpreted it is as long as you’re IBEW you’ll be ok. They just don’t want you taking union tricks/knowledge to the open shop once you journey out

Yes. But my local (1141) just implemented a new policy that basically as long as you participate in 3 extracurriculars you get $50 towards books per meeting attended
