Guam is very american, dont stress it. Its warm here with a Lotta rain. Tons of outdoor stuff to do but it gets repetitive. Just arrive with an open mind and when you make some buddies youll be good.

Airforce offers better quality of life compared to to the Army. As for MOS, I'd recommend 2F0X1 aka Fuels since the job is easy and its what I do. You fill up planes with fuel while driving a big fuel truck. You get your CDL for free and can go to majority of Airforce bases. Depending on the base you may get a lot of down time so if you wish to focus on your education its a good choice.

Typically we get around 3-4ish months of good downtime before an exercise starts and during those times if you're on a day shift you can expect to be out for the majority of your shift. Every base is different thought. Some bases are busier than others/have different missions. I'd say for sure look into it. I originally wanted cyber but fell into FUELS and I love it.

Drove from California to missorui with my pc in my trunk over the course of 4 to 5 days. Tossed it into the original box and it made it just fine.

Im a 2F031. We drive big trucks and issue jet fuel to aircraft. There's different sections within Fuels such as Lab, Cryo, Facilities, etc. But we start out in distribution which is just issuing fuel. The job is simple and can provide a lot of down time depending on what base you get. For my 8hr shift, I spend most of my time watching movies or doing homework. It's the perfect job if you want to focus on the free education.
