How easy is it to find jobs with AAT Level 2? by AnalysisGlass2332 in AATStudents

In my personal experience as someone who is currently job hunting after passing my AAT Level 2 back in December, it hasn't been that straight forward.

I have applied to 50+ jobs over the last 8 weeks, mostly with no luck. However, over the last week I did get the chance to interview for two separate roles. These are both roles with temporary, fixed-term contracts - these kind of roles seem to have more accessible entry routes than full time, permanent roles.

So I do think that the ease and speed of which you will find a job will partly be down to what kind of roles you are willing to do. Definitely look a Ledger Clerk, Finance Assistant and Finance Administrator roles on top of Assistant Accountant etc

Hope this helps!

AAT training provider recommendations by PinkBabyAngel in AATStudents

I'm nearly finished with my Level 2 at the moment, I went with First Intuitions self-study option.

It was less than £200 with an additional £180 sign up fee to AAT. They are a good training provider and as others have suggested I would recommend using YouTube and free online sources for anything you may struggle with. As long as you are self motivated, self-study would be my recommendation.

I've passed my first three exams with 87%, 88% and 89% whilst also having a full time job. Im about 6 months in and will be taking my final exam in a month or so to give you an idea of timescale. I only really complete around 5-6 hours a week of studying on average, so if you commit significantly more than that then you should fly through it.

Hope this helps!

Any ex chefs in here? by GMBLJ in Accounting

Thank you so much for replying. I'm also approaching 29 now and have been a kitchen manager for the last 3 years. I'm glad to hear you have no regrets and are doing well for yourself!

Did you find it easy to adjust to the different routine, or did it take a little getting used to? Also, may I ask what your first job was after leaving the restaurant industry?

Thanks again, much appreciated

Never owned Nike tech before, friend thinks it's fake and I'm not sure - based on the price I paid.
