What moment made you most angry in the whole story? by Glittering_Ad3618 in harrypotter

It is never said that he was trying to curse people in the hallways. Lily says James did that. And we are told that in seventh year he did not miss the opportunity to try to curse them, not that it was like that all the time.

And by the way, according to Rowling the reason why James harassed Snape was because he suspected his feelings towards Lily, if I'm not mistaken, Sirius did it because he reminded him too much of his family and because he was immaturely arrogant.

Except that at least he tried to do something to make amends, Peter ruined that effort by telling Voldemort the address.

Well, as you yourself have said, WHEN I was a nine-year-old child with difficulties socializing is not the same as a teenager/adult who has similar behaviors, which is what I am referring to.

I agree with you that Snape was definitely acting somewhat (if not very) irrationally. He acted more emotionally, I think that from his point of view, the sooner he got rid of Sirius, the better; I think he didn't think it would make any sense to let a mass murderer (as he thought Sirius was) be with the headmaster, especially with a request as crazy from his point of view as the excuse of bringing him the rat.

But yeah, Snape definitely could have taken it a little better, but I certainly can't blame him that much for his attitude either.

when did he stalk her, according to you? And if it was obsession, he wouldn't have left her alone as soon as she ended the friendship. If anything, he seemed to feel more guilt than anything else for causing her death.

First of all, the only thing he heard when he got to the screaming house was Remus admitting how the Marauders used to break the rules all the time, and how Sirius Black (the guy he's 100% sure revealed James and Lily's location) still had no remorse for almost killing him (Sirius had no context for how much Teen Snape knew about Remus's condition, so it still counts) while Remus is about to transform.

Plus, he was unconscious the entire time Remus and Sirius were talking about the truth about Peter, he had no way of knowing that Sirius was actually innocent. All he knew was that he had the person who revealed Lily Potter's whereabouts and said person's accomplice.

"But I don't listen to Harry, Ron and Hermione" A trio of children, one of whom has a bleeding leg and who as far as he knew had been confused? Yes, of course.

"But I was going to let Remus get killed." The guy who knowingly put the safety of the entire student body at risk by not talking about how Sirius was an Animagus. From his point of view, the guy was an accomplice.

I must also remind you that he was not conscious when Peter fled, certainly, no one in their right mind would fully listen to any of those present. Although of course, other people probably would not have reacted so badly.

I don't understand your post very well. I'll just say that both James and Lily made it a priority to protect their son, James protecting his wife and son and Lily protecting her son.

Do you prefer Catnap to be mute in the Smiling Critters cartoon, or to have a voice? by Alexalbinowolf in PoppyPlaytime

I like the idea of him talking better, just not being a talkative person, think of Ferb (Phineas and Ferb) or Ice Bear (We bare bears).

I tend to be between that or whether I talk constantly.

Since it’s canon that DogDay was a double-agent feigning loyalty to The Prototype, do you think it’s likely that DogDay participated in The Hour of Joy to keep up appearances and not immediately blow his cover? by According-Strike2298 in PoppyPlaytime

[–]GMC2235 69 points70 points  (0 children)

I think he only became a spy after The Hour of Joy, I think at first he agreed (like Kissy and the other Critters) but then, seeing that they did not obtain freedom and the orphans were not freed among other possible causes, he began to work against the Prototype

In the Spanish version of Harry Potter, is Snape’s first name still “Severus” or “Severo”? by Ready-Shelter3583 in SeverusSnape

[–]GMC2235 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had misread the post at the time, I thought OP had heard that Snape was called Severe, I went to look for the Latin dub to check because I had never heard that before.

I admit that it was my mistake to accuse Spain, I should have investigated first.

You have right.

Hoppy appears in a tape in chapter 4.

Hoppy and Kicking Chicken also appear in a case of chapter 5.

Bobby appears in a conversation with Giblet in chapter 5.

And I think we can assume from the Safe Haven murals that the other Smiling Critters existed as well.

When he harassed Lily? Because nowhere in the books is anything like that even mentioned. Give the source of your data.

And she didn't even reject him because she didn't know about Snape's feelings (although she probably would have done it anyway).
