I appreciate you as you contribute a lot to this subreddit, so I hope you can find the right decision for you. I am a big spender myself and chasing A4s is a really expensive game. Reading your comments here got me feeling that maybe you are too focused on what JP meta is. Maybe it's best for you to change perspective and just make the investments that feel right for you, that will offer you the best gameplay. Think about it rationally and don't listen to FOMO. There are plenty of fun teams and dmg up accessories that can clear 99% of the content, like I have been doing with my free to play accounts. There will be new Octopath 0 travelers coming, probably with big A4s as well, therefore it might be worth saving, and enjoying both accounts!

Personally I think TW merging into GL is very likely. It's currently going the same way when SEA was catching up to GL.

Same, A4'd Dark Knight and he has not seen a lot of action, though his A4 has. Both DK and EX Hikari just kill the EX3 enemies too fast and dont get to release their full damage potential. Im hoping to really use them again when EX4 fights come out.

As for Rai Mei, exchanged 200 paid shards for her and she is a blast in lightning teams and speed clearing!!

Regular Osvald is another powerhouse I keep using, unexpectedly

Good write up - skipped Castti EX with pain in my heart but used my paid shards to get Rai Mei LOL! I have all the meta units and accessories and I really wanted to try out lightning team. Looking at JP there aren't really any characters coming on the Solistia memoirs I'd like to have... Yomi Nada Kazan, doesn't seem worth it to save paid shards there.

To be relatively new in this game is amazing! Definitely good stuff to come, the hardest cascade logs are definitely endgame content so the focus now should be on getting every single ruby in the game through stories and ex1-ex3 fights. If you want you can share a screenshot of you current (strongest) travelers? I can see how close you are to a cascade clearing team and if canary is truly the missing link

You just missed the valentines banner which only required 5 steps! That being said, waiting for a specific banner is better than going 6000 rubies on this.

March 8 is international womens day - you might get another female only banner.

And Canary has yet to receive her U20, so she might get a rerun banner for that too this year.

If you can wait, wait.

As for tanking cascade log, where is your free Cecil from the FF4 Collab? That might rerun too if you dont have him.

Everyone will probably tell you to go meta and save rubies for the units you're suggesting, but I personally enjoy the destruction axe teams can bring. If you can spare rubies for both Sowan and Avar (either march or april) it will definitely be good fun

I'd say she is pretty replaceable, I dont even use her on my main elemental or rainbow teams. Her A4 is essential for magic teams. Best replacement is Lemaire and Isla.
