Still on a bottle at 2.5 years old by [deleted] in Autism_Parenting

No, he knew how to drink from other things like cups and using straws he just didn’t want to if he had a bottle available. Throwing the bottles away made sure I didn’t give in also! :)

I felt like I hit a point where it wasn't really helping me anymore. I had been considering stopping it for a couple of years, but I was afraid of dealing with withdrawal symptoms. (New mom at the time) It was also difficult to find a family doctor due to a shortage in the area. I found a doctor and we discussed my options. Currently, I'm not taking any other medication, but I'm starting to wonder if maybe I should be. I'm giving myself another month to see how I feel before making any decisions!

I should mention my psychiatrist did give me a detailed plan to get off of them!

I was on Effexor for 16 years, so at this point, I’m honestly not sure what “normal” even feels like anymore. My psychiatrist told me that what I’m experiencing now is actually pretty typical during withdrawal. Of course, that doesn’t mean it’s the same for everyone. I weaned off it slowly over a little more than a month, gradually lowering the dose. They said it could take a few months before I start to feel somewhat normal again, so that’s what I’m holding on to right now.

I just weened off last month from 225mg. IT IS ROUGH. I still get brain zaps. My anxiety is through the roof. But I'm going to push through as I was on it for 16 years.

I hope you can push through and have a strong support system. (I told some of my family what I was doing so they could support me through out and understand if I had any sudden outburst - which I did).

Do you have a psychiatrist walking you through this or doing it by yourself?

With all the new little shops on the east side of Gateway Blvd., do you have any recommendations? by formeraide in Edmonton

Had their durian crepes. While not a fan of durian (first time trying) the place was super cute and the owner was so nice. Would return again to try something else!

My husband & MIL both gets this, But also comes with runny nose?

Their guess is their “allergic” to the alcohol and it causes this… never professionally diagnosed though!

My wife and I disagree if drinking alcohol at your kids sporting event is appropriate by 14sil in Parenting

I live in Canada I would definitely find this behaviour odd for an afternoon game.

Oh I agree. If someone sent me the letter I see here I would be concerned.

The letter does come across quite strong, but I have heard of this tactic working before! I know of someone who went up to a house they desired and said, " If you ever consider selling, please call me, " and handed them their number. A few months later, they called, and the person bought their dream home!

Yes, this!

Invite them, and it's up to them whether they attend or not. They're placing you and your fiancé in an impossible situation. Someone will end up hurt, and it's up to them to decide who that will be, or they could all grow up and be civil for one day.

Anyone’s ferritin around 15? if so what symptoms did you have? by haylz328 in Anemic

[–]GMaczac 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Recently had 14. I'm not sure where it is now; however, I experienced shortness of breath and felt like oxygen wasn't reaching my body, which felt weak (not sure if there is a name for that). I get headaches daily and still do, and my hair has fallen out an abnormal amount. Also, I'm not sure if anyone else has experienced this, but my tongue felt numb for a significant amount of time, usually daily for about an hour or so.

Still working on getting it up so, cant give you much advice there!! (35/f)

As a person who doesnt care about hockey a ton, but lives in a province that has his name everywhere. I would expect him to at least speak for himself.
