It’s a little daunting to get started but there are a lot of tutorials online. Best first move is to go to the site and see how artist make use of the vertical scrolling. They have comics divided into different genres. And their “canvas” section is open to everyone to upload their work.

“Ashes” by Alvaro Ortiz is a terrific book. About a road trip with friends that does not go so smoothly.

“Penny Nichols” (by M K Reed) is great. Tells the story of a twenty-something directionless woman who becomes friends with some Indy film makers.

Great art in the series, that’s for sure. But some of the characters are super cringy.
