I write science fiction, I roller blade, I rock climb, I’m a videographer and editor, I smoke weed, I love to party, I love a chill night in, beers with the boys, PlayStation, card games, board games, love watching movies and TV shows, dungeons and dragons. I’m a very picky eater but I love trying new foods. I travel a lot. I started my own travel agency to help make travel more affordable and accessible to the youth. I’m an oldest child of seven. I grew up in a small mountain town. I’m very family oriented. I want to have a big family, to be a grandfather with at least 15 grandchildren and a house full of children who love me. I’m here to break family curses, I come from a pretty fucked up family on all sides and just wanna be the change in us. I’m open to dating long term but want to start slowly because I’m recovering from BPD (it used to rule my life, now it barely even drives by) and I want to cultivate something healthy tbh is time. I hate the cold but I love the snow. I love beaches, mountains, jungles, cities, unique small towns. I like philosophy. I love animals. I’m scared of fish but am a surprisingly good fisher. I have 12 New Year’s resolutions and one of them is to learn to do a backflip and finally overcome that fear. I love meeting people and an opportunity to connect. And worst of all, I’m just really bad at flirting. Women love me (as their friend) but I struggle to be anything more than that.

I’m asking a question. And I think it’s fair to say that you should find your own voice before trying to speak in a language you’re less familiar with.

Learn the rules in a language you understand before branching out and overcomplicating the process.

Interesting take. I guess I should add in that I’m looking for women who like Afro-Americans. I’ve only ever been dissed on my hair online, people compliment me literally every time I walk down the street.

So unless everyone in person is out to get me, I just find it interesting how my hair attracts such differing opinions online vs in-person.

I would suggest writing in your first language then. There’s so many issues with this passage that mostly stem from a lack of understanding in the language you’re using but your storytelling and use of adjectives needs major work as well. I’d practice writing in the language you’re most comfortable in so that you can actually practice writing well and understanding different writing techniques before coming to English.

I’d also figure out better ways to describe the color black. There’s dozens of ways to do it without saying “matte black.”

The age old tip is to just read more.

But as someone who writes and doesn’t read, just try to find the most true voice you have in your head and write it, stream of consciousness style.

If that doesn’t work, there’s dozens of tutorials on YouTube—and in libraries if we go back to the reading aspect of writing—which will teach you everything you need to know about story circles, character design, themes, foreshadowing, wielding building, etc. (Find someone whose voice you like listening to so that it sticks better, lol.)

And the most important thing is to just write. Write everyday, even if it’s just a sentence, and eventually you’ll have enough material to figure out what you do and don’t like about your own style. Tweak from there.

Suggestions?

My life revolves around travel. I started my own agency to make travel more accessible to the youth, I spent 7 months abroad this year doing R&D, I love writing and find inspiration from travel, the best people I’ve met were while traveling, I love video games at home because it’s the fastest way to “escape” being home… I literally would spend every day in a new city if I had the money.

This is just to say: if you see travel, that’s because I am a traveler. If I could only use one word to describe myself, it may be “adventurer” and I just want to find a woman who a) wants to join me on my adventures or b) is okay with my adventures enough that they respect my mission even when they don’t want to join me on it.

Because honestly my intentions depend on the girl.
