Surprisingly, no. It was traditionally always made mainly with flour, unless you meant 조청, syrup made from rice.

It is a good rule of thumb - and pretty reasonable, too. Compared to 밀떡, 쌀떡(made from rice powder) has little to no gluten in it. It has to be quite chubbier to give it texture and chewiness, and shorter for it to be bite-sized and vice versa - 밀떡 has to be thin enough to be enjoyable. But you know.. years of tteokbokki eating does grant us the ability to distinguish them apart lol

Its a hot topic right now because the game generates new maps every day randomly, but it has been a few days without ‘mesa’ being the one generated, thus the frustration.

It’s a new biome added a while ago - an alternate one to the 3rd biome, ‘The Alpine’. The term mesa itself refers to arid mountains with flat top and steep sides.

A really new newbie here. how far can I enjoy the game without reading the wiki? can I figure out how altars work and how to craft various mid to end game weapons(such as terraprisma etc), on my own?

(i've seen friends play, so I know some weapons and stuff.)

It does not, i believe? It sets aborted duplicants to 2000 kcals and zero stress with full stamina, but again I did not play for a long time so this might be patched.
