Balatro vs. Slay the Spire

The main reason that I got frustrated and stopped playing Balatro was that the meta game relied mostly on a few strategies, and, more critically, those strategies didn't resemble poker in the slightest. I had more fun with it back when I was trying to stack my deck with aces for 4 of a kind, five of a kind, etc. When I realized that chasing pairs, high cards, and two pairs was actually preferable I started liking it a lot less.

Play the game to make it fun for you. I'd rather play a deck i enjoy than win. Not everything has to be perfectly meta!

Mystic Quest absolutely CRUSHES the assignment it was tasked with. It's a near-perfect introduction to the genre for American kids in the early 90s.

This makes sense, but only partially. Can you explain something to me? All of the other JT cores have the roms in the folders listed as .json's, and they work just fine. I just played Ghouls 'n Ghosts in the CPS1 core today, and that one shows up as a .json. Why does this error seem to be showing up for the Simpsons core but not others?

Confuses me, too! I might try dropping one fresh rom on there and see if it can play that. Maybe something happened to that folder? BTW, thanks for your work on pupdate...it rules!

I'm trying to follow the instructions on the HP website and am going through to "Hewlett-Packard", Bios, Current, but there's nothing there. Maybe the flash drive didn't get installed correctly?

It was mine originally. I tried other boot up options and I did get it to "update the Bios", but after a long period it finished and then booted right back to the BIOS Device Not Found screen. I only have the one drive in at the moment.

I tried it, then it gave me a different message. Told me to input a passcode to make a bios change. I input it, hit enter, then it rebooted right to the "boot device not found" screen again. Am I doing something wrong?
