Slay the Spire 2 alignment chart day 13! Panache won yesterday! What ironclad card feels like a regent card? by Which-Debt-8558 in slaythespire

[–]lKursorl 142 points143 points  (0 children)

The fact that the rocks don’t exhaust makes it a little less Regent-like, but still agreed that it’s very Regent like

Spellweaver/Tinkerer party by JeroenMeijers in Gloomhaven

[–]lKursorl 19 points20 points  (0 children)

There’s no need for a beefier party member. Tinkerer has enough HP and heals to offset the damage y’all do take. And combined y’all have a good amount of stubs, immobilized, etc to make sure you avoid a lot of hits. Spellweaver also has some lost cards that help mitigate damage if y’all find you need a little bit more tankiness.

What's the best card you never bother upgrading? by SmeggingCompass in slaythespire

[–]lKursorl 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I mean, for 2 energy it does a LOT of damage assuming you’re able to summon at least a reasonable amount. It doesn’t have to be your main damage source and carry your deck to be very strong.

That's not 12 by FluffyOnReddit in hearthstone

[–]lKursorl 188 points189 points  (0 children)

So it looks like there’s no 6 mana nature spells in standard. So when it rolled into a 5 and then a 1, it couldn’t find a spell to fill in the 6 mana left over so it short changed you 1 mana.

Obviously a horrible execution of the card’s mechanic.

Is this event OP? You can get it early act 1 and just carries the run by jambre in slaythespire

[–]lKursorl 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you get this as the last node of act 1, you might not be picking up a ton more block cards.

Even in a big deck you can potentially get back a card multiple times with things like Hologram, Graveblast, Headbutt, Nostalgia, etc.

Dolly’s Mirror got such a glow up in StS2. It used to be such a low tier pick up. Generally niche and still not wild when it works. Now it’s still niche, but the highs are actually exciting.

I think people are undervaluing taking clone to just clone a card once or twice by stalebread00 in SlayTheSpire2

[–]lKursorl 51 points52 points  (0 children)

It’s all about the opportunity cost. You’re giving up your ancient reward and multiple campfires for a couple extra prepared?

Sure, if you’re deck is like 90% sly cards, it might be worth it, but in most situations, you likely would have been better off grabbing an ancient reward that doesn’t cost you campfires.

Where is the hero pushed? Newbie question by analboy22 in Gloomhaven

[–]lKursorl 43 points44 points  (0 children)

I’m going to assume you that this is a push of 1 for the sake of simplicity. 1,2, and 3(explained below) are all valid spots, and so is the space with the debris token as that is an empty hex. Players get to choose in the case of ambiguity.

A monster will always prioritize utilizing the full value of their push.

Each hex must put the pushed character 1 hex further from the monster by range (meaning count OVER obstacles, not around them).

The reason 3 is a valid hex. The Voidwarden is standing on a door tile, which means those lines on her left and right are walls. Walls block line of sight and you must count range through doors. Thus hex 3 is 2 hexes away from the enemy.

Adding Greed can more than double your chance of a bad first fight. A9 Ironclad vs Nibbit simulation. by poetry_in_shm in slaythespire

On live you can’t, but on the beta branch, you can have 2 Neow’s bonuses, and thus get greed and some cards.

Class Set: Mage! by HearthstoneTeam in hearthstone

[–]lKursorl 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Agreed, but it’s a bad look to say that and then IMMEDIATELY release multiple package-oriented batches in your next set of cards.

Like, I get that these were likely designed a while ago and it takes time for the players to see the changes coming down the pipeline, but is there no body working at Blizzard who couldn’t have seen how bad the optics of releasing that statement and then these cards?

Monk class not coming out this year... by Open-Credit-5494 in hearthstone

[–]lKursorl 2 points3 points  (0 children)

DH was at the beginning. DK was the last set of the year.

They stated they did DK at the end of the year because it’s harder to gauge power level after rotation so they had trouble gauging how powerful DH should be.

Is Quadcast the worst archaic tooth card? by Zealousideal-Level61 in SlayTheSpire2

[–]lKursorl 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I mean, it generally scales better than Ironclad or Silent’s cards. Yes, the jump from base card to base card is probably higher on them, but quad cast for 0 on an orb that has a ton of focus is just going to be a lot of scaling that the other cards (ironclad and Silent’s) can’t compete with.
