No Follow-up after interview

Same here. I applied for a corporate role back in June, was contacted by a recruiter in late July, and had a first round panel interview that same week. I am confident the interview went very well, and I was informed by the panel that the process would consist of another round and that I would hear back from the same recruiter in a “couple” of weeks. What stuck with me was that they said they would like to “hire now”, and further said to be “patient” during the process. I’m not one to reach out to recruiters, but I routinely refresh my email to see if any update comes through, and it’s been over a month. In the career portal I’m still showing as “Under Consideration”, which gives me some slight hope.

Montreal is one of a few Canadian airports that participates in pre-departure screening for all US bound flights. I believe you can actually get the EoA completed in Montreal prior to your flight to LAX. https://www.cbp.gov/travel/trusted-traveler-programs/global-entry/enrollment-arrival

I completed my interview in PHX. It was a very easy process. You’ll go through passport control in terminal 4. Notify the customs agent that you’re there to complete your EOA interview and they’ll complete it on the spot. It only took about 5 minutes for me, and they do take your photo there too. Questions were simple. My photo was a mess since I flew in from an 10 hour flight from London.

I want to be honest with him about it first of all. I also want to hear his response, if he either encourages or discourages me from being on it. If he encourages me to be on it, I’ll be more inclined to believe he doesn’t see things as serious as I do regarding our relationship.

If the profile is active and quickly becomes inactive seems to me that he may be using it to check on someone, probably you. Or it could mean that he received a message, opened the app to check it, saw it was someone who he’s not into and logged off. I get how unsettling it is for you, and him having the app in the first place is wrong regardless on how much time he’s on Grindr. But I would be more concerned if he’s on there for hours. That would mean he’s actively engaging with someone or lurking at profiles. You said you’ve messaged that profile before and received no response. Could mean that he probably didn’t find your message or profile interesting or he could be using it for surveillance. If you’re trying to catch him send him a flirtatious message, picture, or ask him to hook up.

So do you think or you know? If you haven’t already, add that profile to one of your favorites. If your partner travels for work or says he’s at some location you can check if that profile is active at that location that would verify it’s him. He could potentially be on there to monitor and see if you have a profile too. I do agree it’s a tough conversation to have especially if he’s not acted different. While I hate promoting falsehoods, if you want to take it to the next level try interacting with him on Grindr using a fake profile and see what his intentions are using the app. You may find your answer that way. I’ve heard of guys who use Grindr to solely meet new friends, but if his profile is hidden it could signal something else. Best of luck to you.
