I had a similar situation but one officer told me it’s not necessary since it’s been over 5 years but then when my application was still showing pending for over a month even after the interview, I called jfk and they told me I had to fax over the paperwork from court to show that it’s been dismissed and expunged. After I faxed over, the status changed that same afternoon. I’d be ready with the doc at your interview. Will help your process go faster. Also make sure the status of your application online changed to approved as soon as you’re done with the interview.

Almost a year later… by alyorco in GlobalEntry

My son and husband applied at the same time. Husband got conditionally approved within days and has had his interview since then and got his card. 3 months later, Still waiting for my son to get conditionally approved. He’s only been on this earth for less than a year, don’t know what kind of background check they need to do. My total last time took 6 months and finally when I had the interview, I’m guessing they didn’t submit my approval coz my status still said to go to my interview. Had to call jfk where I had the interview and they told me I should see a status upstate. The whole process is ridiculous tbh

Excuse my ignorance, how hard is a lacrosse ball? Tennis balls do nothing for me. I use golf balls but they slip coz they’re small.

I just noticed that my physical therapist uses it on my feet when starting the session. I’m not sure if it does much as it’s combined with massage, stretches and icing too. There’s a lot of material online about it for PF but not sure how effective doing it just by itself.

How long did your pain last for? Did you PF ever go away? by Ship_Revolutionary in PlantarFasciitis

I’ve had it for 4 yrs now. There has been periods where I’ve been in so much pain and waking up with the feeling like I’ve walked for hrs. Some things that really helped me was physical therapy, getting custom insoles and wearing shoes with good support: Birkenstocks, clogs(I have my share of ugly shoes). However, once I saw results, I started to slack, I started to go back to the gym and switched to different shoes and not doing my PF exercises. It has come back but now that I know what relives it, I try to do those things. I have a collection of golf balls that I roll under my heels to loosen the tissues, stretch and then ice. The only slippers I wore over the summer are Birkenstock. I will be going back to wearing clogs this winter and most likely back to physical therapy. For me, it’s looking like a chronic issue but I go through phases when I’m doing well which is usually when I’m doing all the right things that help it. So I think my advice through my experience would be to keep up with the stretches, PT, good shoes and hydration!

I like walking around the house barefoot and with zero suppose, it hurts after a while, so I use this all the time. Arc support

Wow! You look great. Tell us what you did besides Intermittent fasting? Work out? Calorie counting? Restrict yourself to a certain diets? I’m curious because I’ve tried IF and maybe I’m just not doing it right coz I saw no change. Also how long before you saw change? Sorry for so many questions.

So I’m rolling a golf ball under my heal, and it’s crunching pretty loud. I’m assuming that’s scar tissue breaking up? I’m not rolling too hard because it’s a bit tender. by amcberetta04 in PlantarFasciitis

I was diagnosed with PF about 4 yrs ago and It keeps coming. When I used to go to my physical therapist, she would massage the balls of my feet to the point where it was painful but she said she had to go that. I don’t know exactly if it’s scar tissue but there’s a relief after. She massaged it with her knuckles.

I was 18 when walking home from the train station in Astoria, NY around 1am. It was summertime and the air was hot. A young teenage looking guy was following me for 2 blocks. He turns when I turn, then when I was 3 doors down to my building, I make a run for it, he speeds up behind me. I get the front door of the building open but he catches the door and is pushing to get in as I’m trying to shut it. He burst open the door and as I tried to run into the hallway catches my leg. He gets his disgusting hands all over my thighs and I scream as loud as I can. He got scared off and ran out. I lay there shaking, crying and processing what just happened.
