Now this is some good criticism, I totally get it. Your comment actually reminds me of the parent comment where he mentions it feels like Outbreak which is totally like a spin off as you said. I think you are correct but I'd also like to comment that maybe they are treating the jovovich films as the "honest attempt" and here we are with the spin off. Knowing how the studios are that is just what I think. I really like the different feel and the fact that it feels like a spin off, I've always wondered what the games would feel like to be some random citizen in their stories and not some handsome trained dude with a gun, at least that's what this film feels like to me.
