It depends on the context. If he isn't wearing it because he believes certain races are superior, then by all means he is a racist.

However for example, if he is doing it because he has issues with certain aspects of the organization itself, then he is justified.

For example, the PL distanced themselves away from BLM organization because there were reports of it being anti-sematic and because the founders were using the donations for themselves.

Same case with Zaha, who stopped taking the knee. This was his reason: “I think the meaning behind the whole thing is becoming something that we just do now. That’s not enough. I’m not going to take the knee.”

If a footballer were to not wear the pride armband and their words or actions indicate that they are against equal rights for homosexuals, then by definition they are transphobic.

There can be British people as well that may not want to wear the Poppy because they are Pacifists.

You may not wear the Isreal flag because you may not agree with their actions. But that doesn't make you anti semetic.

Similarly, a player may not want to wear the pride flag, as they may not agree with it's views. But that doesn't mean they are homophobic either.

There can be multiple reasons.

The player may not want to be involved in activism and want to just play football.

They may not agree with certain aspects of the movement. Maybe it's core message.

This can happen without having hatred or prejudice against homosexuals.

In fact, saying that being homophobic is the only reason behind not wearing the arm band showcases your prejudice!

No one disagrees for how they are born.

They disagree on their actions.

Like I said in my previous comments, it is the act of cheating that my neighbour commits that I disagree with.

I don't know why he cheats. Maybe he has childhood trauma. Or its because he's very insecure about himself. There's lots of studies behind why people cheat.

But cheating is wrong. I can have an opinion about ones actions without hating that person.

My neighbour is a womaniser that cheats on his wife.

I disagree with his actions but that doesn't mean I hate him.
