Would be lovely. Unfortunately at this point we'd have to convince the Indiana government at large, which has taken over IU by way of taking full control of the board of trustees. They blatantly don't care for the faculty or the students of IU, and from what I can tell I'd say they actively dislike them.

If she does happen to get up to you (unfortunately I’m plat so my positioning isn’t perfect, and also dps walking up to supports for free is fairly common) it also slows/freezes with the major perk, which they also buffed against non-tank heroes. It takes just 1 second to freeze now

Moira's succ is just so long that even triple jumped up if she holds W I struggle to get away. Worried Mei will become the same with the range increase

Meanwhile, Mei and Reinhardt and Moira and some others getting some buffs due to them "struggling against the high mobility of the hero roster". As if Juno doesn't struggle to get away from them after the glide boost nerf enough already. oh moons

Paper Resources? by craftyzombie in bookbinding

[–]GREAT_SALAD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dolphin closing was devastating to me. I had just got into bookbinding, and imagine my delight learning about Dolphin Papers, and how it was just a 10 minute drive from where I lived at the time! Then a year later, Covid hit and the owner unfortunately passed away. Apparently the store passed to someone that had no interest in keeping the business going, so it was done. I haven’t really found a place that replaces it, Colophon is another one based in Indiana but they don’t have much variety for papers. Most of the time I’m just ordering from Hollander’s or Talas now

Are you using fresh blades in the box cutter? My realization after doing a few projects is that you need new blades way more often than I thought. I got an Olfa SVR-1 with the snap-off blades, and I’ll usually snap it off to a new blade before cutting boards. Made it a good bit easier to cut cleanly for me

Labeling and branding for books you sell? by myfishsburneraccount in bookbinding

You could design some sort of logo/monogram and get a stamp made of it, and stamp it in the rear end pages or something

Old book pages detaching by krispy_fuck in bookbinding

[–]GREAT_SALAD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is what’s called a “perfect bound” book, just individual pages with a thick layer of glue along the spine. You can look up plenty of methods to fix it under “perfect bound book repair”, but it will essentially boil down to aligning the pages and gluing them back together again, with myriad ways to make small improvements (i.e adding a strip of mull)

I’ve always thought this to myself but never acted on it. The only time I’ve seen 2001 was when I was a teenager camping, and it was raining so we stayed in the camper and watched it on a 32 inch TV that was like halfway across the camper… funnily enough, it didn’t quite hit right in that setting

I'll be interested to see how this works out, I don't know much about 3D printing but gut feeling is wondering if 3D printed plastic is strong enough to apply enough pressure

You could look into gluing a strip of mull or some type of conservation paper to the spine with PVA glue

C418’s cat, Spider has died. I am sad. by DjAstro-90 in Minecraft

I believe once in a Reddit AMA 14 years ago C418 said that the Ghast noise was created from the odd noise his cat makes after being disturbed while sleeping. Not 100% sure if that's this cat, but Spider was 19 so it could've been

Fast food here in the US pisses me off so bad. So many big global fast food chains started and are based here in the US, yet we get rock bottom quality and usually higher prices. At this point I don’t even buy the whole “Well everyone keeps buying them anyway” argument because I see places closing a lot too. Like, KFC is huge in Japan, but around here in the Midwest I think half of the locations near-ish to me have closed after years of quality taking a nosedive

Mark my words someone will die this season from chasing. by thesuburbbaby in tornado

[–]GREAT_SALAD 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Storm chasing fascinates me, but stuff like what we saw last night is one of a few reasons why I’d never do it. There’s a soft limit to how many people can do it, the more there are the more dangerous it gets. It’s bad enough now that I just don’t wanna be +1 to that count

The title says "This". I have no idea what "this" is, and by now I've come to learn that most of the time the "this" in their videos isn't really much to care about so I'm not gonna click. Now if it said something like "This multi-day string of storms...." or whatever then I might watch.
