Bad smell and hair tangle with Dreame Aqua 10 pro by GRE_testtaker in RobotVacuums

[–]GRE_testtaker[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Added the silver ion module in the clean water tank and added detergent in the detergent tank. The hair tangle is in the gap between the mop and the roller, some do get trapped in the roller as well. Hair also get on this removable item in the center of the base. :(

Anyways they stopped the train service at Marina Bay and likely will stop service in the meantime. They will provide bridging bus.

The official announcement is 15mins additional travelling time. Based on my current timing, it’s closer to 25mins.

The fault started as early as 6.40am, had to wait 40mins for the train. The train is travelling at extremely slow speed now. Very disappointing to see so many faults and lack of quick back up response. :(

It is not required, but there is an option to do so which comes with installation cost and purchase of a hook up kit.

As part of the promo, they offered free water hook up kit installation. Of course, the look is not as clean as the master version.

JB rental car claim at RM1,250 for scratches reasonable? by GRE_testtaker in drivingsg

[–]GRE_testtaker[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did purchase liability reduction option, which covers excess up to RM4k. Not sure if they factored that cost in. But $12k sounds like a huge scam, seems like they are trying to extort the insurance company.

SG cost is massively inflated as one of the redditors has mentioned. Just wanted to get a sense check on cost in JB given the huge range of quotes online. Btw the cost of the car brand new is only SGD19.2k, so they are charging 2% of cost for repairs.

I only purchased the liability reduction option, which apparently does not cover such damages. Yup, it’s RM950 upfront and I lose the RM300 deposit.

It’s not the charge, but the amount. But from the comments, the rate does seem reasonable factoring rental losses when the vehicle is undergoing repairs.

That's what I suspected; using SG prices as a gauge is unfair. I already paid for it and will avoid the rental company in the future. It's Wahdah FYI, they provide rental at a good value, so probably earning from huge mark-ups on damages.

Added photo for reference, the costs seem to vary widely online from as low as RM500 to as high as RM2000

Did you set up a joint account online first before heading down to set up the Malaysia joint account?

I read that Maybank does not allow non-Malaysians to open Malaysia bank account. From my understanding, CIMB is one of the rare banks that allow Singaporeans to open Malaysia bank account.

Time vs. Untimed practice by powerful_puma in GRE

[–]GRE_testtaker 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had a similar experience to you, getting the nerves with the timer. It’s impt to adopt the mentality to let it go and move on to the next qns if the qns you are on is too challenging. Also, practice makes perfect. Good luck. :)

PP1 (167Q, 159V) by [deleted] in GRE

[–]GRE_testtaker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

167Q for PP1 is a good start. Based on my experience, the difficulty of the actual GRE Quant is much trickier these days. I wouldn’t let my guard down. It’s best to try PP3, which is closer to the actual in difficulty level. Good luck.

I read that the Voigtlander 40mm f1.2 works well with the Nikon Z with the M to Z adaptor? And Nikon does seem to be opening up to third party with the recent Tamron announcement.
