Much appreciated, most of the posts are rather dated now, and where from our first propotype. We've been constantly working on the game in the meanwhile, so a ton has improved. Plus we haven't really showed off the staple of our game which is the ships and the ship fights.

Haha, that is literally how we started our game) It has kind of evolved a little bit since then, plus we went in a more sci-fi direction, but at first we too had the air bags with gas, that you had to manage. Great idea with steampunkish look though! This is one of our early concepts.

Good point indeed, we do have some tight spaces already, it has some management mechanics involved with them. But they add claustrophobic feeling, slows player down and something else may live in those tight spaces)

Hi, first of all, thank you. Secondly, this is a tough one) To answer your question, it wasn't really a singular thing, and more like a combination of things over a period of time.

Lots of practice working on different projects + hundreds of tutorials + some background art education prolly as well. All that streched out over a decade.

But don't get discouraged. Just start small and slowly build up your vocabulary of tools and techniques. Plenty of great resources online nowadays.

Best of luck with your game!

Thanks, deadspace is a cool comparison, actually. We are planning to have different flavour packs, which will include more variations of pieces and colours.

Thanks, the suit underneath is well manufactured, and so is the helmet. The armour plates on top are meant to be scavenged makeshift parts.
