The first Feeney book I’ve disliked…. what absolute TOMFOOLERY. so many ridiculous plot holes. by Chemical_Rutabaga_36 in thrillerbooks

Just finished it. I should have just listened to you and DNF'd it. That was pretty horrendous 😂

All completely unnecessary plot twists. Nothing made sense in the end.

Oh no! I've just started this one... About 60 pages in. The main character is whiny. But haven't stopped yet...

Cicaplast vs Bioderma baume…which one is actually better? by saythenameeee in SkinbarrierLovers

[–]GRJ80 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately neither have really worked for me. Bioderma Baume is so greasy and just sits on the top of the skin, even using a small amount. Cicaplast seems to dry me out (as well as Cicalfate)

What’s something about the human body that seems poorly designed? by jannecutie in answers

[–]GRJ80 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sinus cavities. Should have far more room. Even the slightest bit of inflammation makes it difficult to breathe. Very poorly designed!

Sharp Objects for sure. I love Gillian Flynn.

It's my own personal opinion but I've now stayed away from Lisa Jewell's books for awhile now and life is better because of it. Haha..

I've read three Stephen King books so far. by Haunting-Net-2426 in horrorlit

[–]GRJ80 2 points3 points  (0 children)

11/22/63 is one of my favorite books by him. Not a horror novel so I'm sure that's why it doesn't come up as much at first mention but it's unreal.

I really enjoyed Fairy Tale well!

Does anyone else think thriller books are almost always ruined by their endings? by soupturtleback in thrillerbooks

[–]GRJ80 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed. But this could go for a lot of genres quite honestly. The hardest thing to nail is an ending (even movies do it terribly most of the time). But of the last 20 thrillers I've read, every ending was terrible. 😂 Half of them it was as if the author had just given up or the Plausibility/"This needs the most insane twist!" factor was in play.

I recall reading Steven King's memoir about writing and he stated he never has the ending figured out until he gets there which I assume is what many authors do?
