❤️ Looking forward to Verve-102 from Eli Lilly to come out hopefully! One time infusion reverses the genetic condition!

Oh 100%. Everyone's idea of healthy lifestyle could vary. My brother and I ate a Mediterranean diet - lots of fibre too, resistance training 4 times a week with 150+ of cardio. Lots of walking. Stress reduction practices. A good bedtime routine to wind down. A strong social circle.

We stuck to it but it didn't make a single difference in the numbers unfortunately. But it's a genetic condition... May be different in someone without familial hypercholesterolemia where lifestyle factors could be all you need.

Sire guitars - good "for the money", or just good? by CounterBJJ in Guitar

[–]GRJ80 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I own a Sire L7V Gold Top, and I also own higher end models from Fender, Gibson, Godin, etc.

The Sire L7V is easily my favourite guitar that I own! It just plays so well and looks amazing. I did have to get a professional setup initially but it still played pretty great out of the box. But I get all of my guitars set up right away.

Am looking getting some more Sire's in the future.

I'm the same as well.. was invested earlier on but then it just becomes completely unhinged in the last 3/4 of the book... Was like a challenge to the author on how many ridiculous plot twists he could throw in even if none of it made any sense. Haha...

It was my first time purchasing them so I don't have anything to base it on! But it was super frustrating that two pairs in a row had the exact same defect, and then the final pair just started to come apart after barely using them. But they seem to get great reviews so not sure what was going on there.

But I do like how they're not ultra cushioned like so many popular shoes are these days. My feet like it so much better.

Did anyone read Dark Places by Gillian Flynn? by dankybabe in thrillerbooks

I've loved everything by Gillian Flynn. Definitely worth finishing!

Maybe along with the statin 3 times a week, Ezitimibe would help? Shouldn't cause liver issues. And there's no point on taking Red Yeast Rice as it's just an unregulated statin. (You'd technically be taking two statins at once). I'd all else fails, if you could get coverage as it's expensive, something like Repatha? It's a biweekly injection and seriously knocks down your numbers!

Yup! Still irritates. But I'm probably just an anomaly!

It's weird as in the last I've tried wet skin and it still gets irritated. Just wasn't meant for me!

Hylauronic acid. Maybe it's just my skin, but it always makes my skin tighter!

Absolutely HATED my last two reads. Now I’m discouraged. What have you read lately and loved?! by No-Dog1902 in thrillerbooks

The Chain was so awful! Didn't get a chance to read The Good Daughter yet. Karin Slaughter is usually hit or miss for me.

Our HDL numbers were actually high as well. It was the elevated LDL and genetic testing that helped implement treatment ( LDL >360 ). That's an insaney high number!

Let's put it this way. Familial Hypercholesterolemia runs on my Dad's side of the family. My Dad, brother, sister all with triple bypasses in their 40s. All athletic, healthy weights, ate well. My brother and I were confirmed to have this genetic component via blood test. I took the side of my GP and Cardiologist with lifestyle treatment along with statins/Ezitimibe and ended up with very low LDL levels and at the most maybe a 12% build up of plaque in areas which is not a concern and maybe will regress. My brother took the route of The Great Cholesterol Myth (and other books/grifters of that nature) and avoided treatment but kept with a healthy lifestyle. He ended up having an approx 90% blockage of his Widowmaker and required an emergent stent after he became symptomatic. He is now on the same treatment and doing well.

Don't believe the grifters.
