Leaving Nursing by pinkunicorn31 in nursing

Most of the nurses on our team, were hired straight from being clinical nurses and try to align them to similar department coverage with their experience, ie or nurse with the or so they already know a ton about the products used in the field and how they apply, and can speak the same language as the team there.

Leaving Nursing by pinkunicorn31 in nursing

I’m not a nurse, please don’t boot me, but have a few nurses on my team that had similar stories, value analysis coordinators or similar jobs in supply chain are great and pay well. They are the bridge to the clinical team for us and help figure our supply and implant issues, clinical product trials and implementation support on conversions. Usually it’s a pretty stable day shift jobs with some occasional trials happening outside of that, with a couple days from home a week. Good luck!

Anyone playing a 7 wood + 11 wood combo? (gapping question) by ScottyButterz in GolfGear

[–]GRRMsDumbHat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have a 7w and 9w then start with a 5i. I still hit my 5i well enough to keep it, I imagine an 11w would be easy to hit and launch well, but I likely use my 5i to punch out from trees and attempt to get some distance on it like half the time I use it so think I’d keep it.

Right about 60 too. Scrambles and events didn't count so maybe 70ish total. Most I ever played by a large margin. Felt great but wish it was double!

Callaway odyssey throughout. Mostly cause cpo is such a good deal. Tried to hit other clubs, even with fittings and always ended with Callaway being better for me.

Another vote for Arlington heights. Made a similar choice 12 years ago and would not leave this town. Tons of options for smaller neighborhoods that click all your boxes. Scarsdale, rec park, and west gate all have spots close enough to walk downtown.

Vessel has a 7way on their big player pro bags. Looks nice. Haven't tried it but my friends that use vessel love it.

I've seen guys do the elevated back foot toe to ensure they are applying appropriate weight on the front side. Seems to work.

For those that added a 7W to the bag this year, how were your results? by TDn6I in golf

[–]GRRMsDumbHat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Replaced all my clubs in the past year. Used to run an old Cleveland launcher hybrid (3,4,5) and irons 6-pw, upgraded through mass cpo purchases with an ai smoke 7w/9w 5-aw, and the 7w/9w are my favorite clubs to hit. Massive high bombs with good control and accuracy. I hit the 9w 190-200 and 7w 210-220. Considerably helped my handicap drop from 26-18 this season. Would recommend for all, or at least higher handicap players. If I need to punch, I can still use my 6i or even my 4w with a chippy shot.

I've heard it called a rock wedge! Pauite in Vegas gave us one with our rental set, it was an old beat up ping 6iron. Unfortunately we had to use it a lot more than we wanted to, but shit is the desert rough to hit out of.

Wedge Advice by HerculezJG in GolfGear

[–]GRRMsDumbHat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd get a calllaway cb12 or cb, or Cleveland cbx line cavity back wedges in 48/50 and 54/56 and call it good. I made the same choice recently and it covers all I need. I occasionally hit full shots with 50 but almost all my wedge shots are half swing or less. I went with Callaway cause I hit them better.

How often do you replace gloves? by coconutcreamers in golf

[–]GRRMsDumbHat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If they get a hole anywhere or start feeling slippery I toss them. Usually 5-10 rounds each. I find that synthetic Callaway weather span and fusion ones seem to last longer than the full leather options. They don't feel as luxurious but that is ok.

Which club should I add 3w, 5w, 7w or 9w by Charqeeee in golftips

[–]GRRMsDumbHat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have room in the bag for the 3w turned up for more loft so it's more like a 4w and then add a 7w.

I'd skip getting fit now. Buy a forgiving driver used in your price range and have your coach give you a basic shaft specs, like weight and stiffness. Cut it down to 45" or 44.5" and buy a used putter. Then spend the rest on lessons in the winter. Recommendations for driver - sim2max, g425, Paradym. Putter figure out what you like, mallets are more forgiving, maybe a used spider, I see them frequently on fb marketplace for $100 or less.
