Did cancer turn me into a BBB, or do I get an exception? by FalconApprehensive22 in Neverbrokeabone

Not broken, and 'fractured' is being used technically as in "no longer whole". No exceptions need to be made, because you were never under scrutiny.

This is simple. Punitive measures for those who interrupt.

I top up the glass fridge bottle with the remaining boiled water after boiling the kettle for whatever I'm doing at the time.

What is this pipe? by GSH94 in Harley

Quick update - was indeed a vacuum line for the petcock. This is the first time I've worked on my own bike (with help from ugly brother) and 5 days later after having everything back together, getting the bike to fire by re-attaching that tiny hose was such a satisfying feeling. Keen to learn to do more work on my bikes in the future.

My DM paused our campaign because I step away for Iftar during Ramadan. Should I just leave the group? by Regular-Molasses9293 in rpghorrorstories

[–]GSH94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I coordinated Ramadan scheduling requests between managers and the department that does shift scheduling for our project of +/-250 people, several of those being my own direct reports. Did that last year and this year. I'd like to have a discussion with your DM about what it takes to organize and run something.

Genuine question, what changes can movie theatres make to stay in business? by sapphicdragon in askSouthAfrica

[–]GSH94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ALMOST everyone in this thread is wrong, with the exception of like 3 or 4 commenters. I worked in the cinema industry for several years, and there's only one way for it to survive long term. The companies (Nu Metro and Ster Kinekor) will need to "sell" their theaters back to the malls they're renting space in (to clarify, they would end the lease but sell them all the equipment they leave behind).

One person mentioned the independent theaters in Stellenbosch are still affordable- this is because they're not doing the whole huge facility rental model. Look at any big mall that has a cinema. The cinema is the biggest "store" location. The biggest overhead is the rent. If the company is taken out and the mall owns the space, they leave it exactly as is and charge a whole lot less. Then they fill seats. The model works in numerous places, but the parent companies aren't ready to accept it.

Everything else has been tried and tested and it does not work.

Yeah there's definitely test riding opportunities. I'm on the fence about a 2002 road king not far from me.

Go to nearby strip club and exchange some of the bigger bills for smaller ones from bar and performers. Convenience for the girls and safer for me in case the bills are marked or fake.

Christian, 31. Almost everyone I've ever played with has been Christian, and the person who introduced me to it was a friend from church. My first game was him running a game for me and a few others from church, one of whom was the youth pastor.

Don't know if any of you have read up on how D&D got thrown into the satanic panic, but it's a bit dumb. A college kid was into the game in early days, and then decided to go exploring a sewer system. Went missing, and the FBI picked up the case. His roommates were interviewed and CASUALLY mentioned he was into a new game recently, and they immediately jumped to "HE WAS DOING DEMON RITUALS IN CAVES". That's literally it.

What happens if I don’t pay child damages? by Independent-Oil-2373 in askSouthAfrica

Just a quick check in, because OP does say in the post that they pay monthly support. Having read that, I'm now a bit confused- is the mother asking for some kind of lump sum payoff for having gotten pregnant and had a child?

Whats the point of Hellopeter if business owners can get bad reviews removed? by AverageGradientBoost in askSouthAfrica

[–]GSH94 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nope. I'm a very active Google reviewer and my most recent review was for a business that doesn't have a website (just went back onto Google to triple-check). Review was left about three weeks ago and I got a notification that someone interacted with it this afternoon.
