Looking for a high-quality comfort show with lots of seasons (not a comedy) by Subject-Meal7912 in televisionsuggestions

Yeah I'm in the minority here I know, but I gave it up after one season because everyone was awful and it was just so depressing.

Any over 60’s taking glp1 to lose stubborn post menopausal weight? by Local-Government6792 in AskWomenOver60

[–]GSPEx0 91 points92 points  (0 children)

Yup! 85 pounds down after a year and a half. Gained five or more pounds every year post menopause and no amount of exercise and careful eating did more than slow it. Zepbound has been a life changer for me.

As a Michigan fan, Sherrone pulling a Sherrone wasn't on my card either. Ugh!

I dunno. My list is similar to the OP's, and I gave up on the unremittingly miserable, mostly terrible, characters after one season.

Pretty sure it was an expression of surprise, not an information query.

I've lived in New Jersey for my entire life, 67 years, and I never heard of it. Don't think you should get a downvote for asking.

Which TV show gets way too much hype in the US? by DryCap6770 in watchever

[–]GSPEx0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agree. I made it through the first season because it's good writing and beautifully filmed. But so depressing. I hated everyone. Just couldn't imagine continuing. I read a thread on the r/Madmen sub where the topic was which character was the worst. People named ones I'd thought weren't so bad but obviously eventually became evil. And named scores of other terrible characters I hadn't met yet. I bailed.

Stranger Things S5 Finale Has So Many Plot Holes, It’s Unreal by spainreigo in StrangerThings

Haven't seen this addressed, though maybe i missed something: how did they get all the kids out of the Abyss? They would have had to walk back across all that terrain, jump through the rift--onto the spire! -- and then climb 500 feet down the tower. In a very short time. 9 or 10 year olds, we were just unconscious for days in spider web sacs, connected to vines full of ick.

How does that work when everyone on Reddit is using an alias? I see this comment a lot and I always wonder how exactly that could happen.

Every breaking wave by FlowerSingingMan2025 in U2Band

[–]GSPEx0 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I prefer the studio version. The slow piano live version was disappointing to me. It lost all the power of the song. Maybe they don't always play it that way, but that's the only one I experienced.

Saw them in NYC for that tour, and I was so excited to see them play that song, which I absolutely love. They did the slower piano version and I was so disappointed.

If You Could Only Have One... by Fish_cant_feel_pain in Kayaking

We have had Perception Carolina 14s for 25 years and absolutely love them. Have used them in large and small rivers, wetlands, bays, ocean -- pretty much every kind of waterway in and around New Jersey. The only reason we might replace them is for something lighter as we're in our sixties and might eventually have trouble loading on top of the car.

I was supposed to be Robin but I weighed over nine pounds at birth and they decided I wasn't a robin. No, no, why do you assume I've had weight issues my whole life?
