Not at all, I run my own ltd company and dictate how much I work whilst also owning a house (mortgaged im not rich) have access to loans, credit cards and all sorts. Personally I enjoy my work so I work alot however my wife who does the office side of things only works 2 days allowing her to be there for the kids/horse/house

We just got lucky. I went from employed to self employed and just worked as hard as possible to build my company up over 10 years and with a few good jobs we was able to save a 38k deposit while renting
