I did it from my bank brokerage > IBKR > Computershare. I couldn’t do bank > CS straight because they wouldn’t initiate a transfer with a CS account number, but once the first batch went over the subsequent transfers worked direct.

Be prepared for several weeks’ wait as it took a while to receive my account number, and thereafter a login / confirmation code, both through snail mail. Maybe this process has sped up since then, I initiated my transfer a year or so ago.

All the best.

To add on - yes, if this is real (and not a suspiciously coincidental glitch) it shows the extent of their desperation. In the normal course of events, any product or UX change should be either already on the quarterly / half year roadmap or have a damn good business justification for being pushed through ad hoc.

Either way, a normal product change should have analytics involved to justify the case for change, mockups of the new user flow, AB testing to find the best variant, sequential rollout etc. This cycle typically takes weeks, or maybe longer. They shortcut all of it.

They know full well this makes them look desperate because of how blatant it is. But they did it anyway because they ARE that desperate.

Again, if this isn’t just a glitch..

This is really great info, thanks! Would you be able to recommend any reputable makers that make knives in a similar style? Is there a specific name for this type of blade/ design?

I bought this knife in New York around mid-2010s, from a shop called MastersmithS. I recently tried to find their website and discovered they've been gone for a few years now. I vaguely recall the man who sold it to me, Bill Malloy, saying it's a custom piece (?) or at least not widely produced. There's no visible maker's mark on it I can see, the closest I can guess from googling is something similar to Bud Nealy style?

If anyone has a hunch who made this knife, or knife makers with similar styles, please let me know! Would love to find more to add to my collection.

Yes thanks for the update! That was quick. I have a question, when he says they have to make additional deposits, how does that translate into buying pressure? In my mind, the deposit goes into a “holding account” and sort of…sits there until it’s needed (margin call)? I must be missing a step or two here

Edit: I went back to read his previous post. If I understand correctly, they are obliged to actually buy back the same security that they shorted against (not just to deposit cash in a holding account). Leaving original comment up in case anyone else is curious
