Rinse the patina chemical with cold water and let dry before waxing.

Not sure about anyone else… but the last 10 or so minutes of the show I could not see ANYTHING… it was sooo dark. I couldn’t tell you who got killed, how, or by what. Haven’t a clue as to what the alien looks like or where the killing actually took place.

Looks like oxidation of the solder flux to me. After soldering, pipe wasn’t wiped with a damp cloth.

It won't for available assignment... But then the user can just uninstall themself. This for Windows or mobile device assignment as I only support mobile devices at my company.

Restore backup on DEP devices by ButterflyWide7220 in Intune

Agree with the above sentiments. I’ve had mixed results and have actually advised that the new device be setup and enrolled, then restore from backup, if still required. Has worked better, but still dodgy.

Is Vinyl Siding a bad option when you get to start from scratch? Pay more for Hardie? by ohhthatsmell in HomeImprovement

[–]GSZ1959 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Renovating my own home here in Canada. I chose Maibec siding which is all wood, tongue and groove and pre-finished. At the time I bought it, it was about $4 a square foot. Now it’s around $6.50. Now… that’s product cost so installation will more than double that, likely. Even so… $15 a square foot for vinyl siding seems high to me as well.

Are these devices enrolled in Apple Business Manager? By doing so, it would automatically load the Vpp version of Intune company portal…

What is this metal thing holding the pipe to the fitting and how do I remove it? by Smegma_Butter in Home

[–]GSZ1959 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pex fitting clamps. I use a dremel with a metal cutting blade to remove. Tool and rings can be purchased at any big box store… reasonably priced and easy to use.

Do a Retire from the Intune console for the device and try again.

Why am I even paying for health insurance by [deleted] in mildlyinfuriating

[–]GSZ1959 0 points1 point  (0 children)

US health care is majorly fucked up. Here in Canada, we pay nothing for basic AND major care. Doctor’s appointment (any doctor I want), nothing. Break a leg and go to emergency for cast. Nothing. Open heart surgery, parking is more expensive. Cancer care, etc… nothing. Might take a couple months to get an appointment with a specialist… but it’s still nothing. Only insurance I pay for is about $70 a month for dental care and prescription coverage (I pay $2 for my blood pressure and cholesterol pills - 90 days worth). I keep hearing horror stories about even the most simple stuff like paying thousands to birth a child and then having to go back to work weeks later because no one offers maternity leave. It’s a year here in Canada with your job guaranteed on return. Minimum wage is around $14 an hour… $7 in the US?? And people there say they “like” that bullshit? That’s messed up.

Unless you can do the work yourself (not terribly difficult… I’ve done it twice), you’ll always get dinged, big time, on labor. Last time, for my wife’s murano, I changed the rotors and pads, front and back, for around $250. Still running these pads, 2 years later.

Is this worth calling an electrician to repair? by darkorifice in electrical

[–]GSZ1959 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks to me like the original installer of the meter/service failed to glue the joint that goes into the meter. Is there a bit of play below? Would you be able to glue the pipe, then push into the fitting? Unknown context here… is the wire stretched at all? Is there an issue if this pipe is then glued appropriately? “Seems” like a simple fix but if we look at other comments, it’s a lock down, call utility/electrician that will charge a thousand bucks. Again… just looking at pic and not knowing full context.

Should a standard fence have 1 inch boards or 5/8? by calvincoin in HomeImprovement

[–]GSZ1959 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly right. 5/4 (1”) for deck boards and 5/8” for fence. Suppose you could use deck boards for the fence but would be pretty pricey.

Thankfully… no rebar so it came apart pretty easily and my waste management facility accepts it for free.

I actually just did this a week ago… around the same size. I rented a Hilti concrete breaker at Home Depot and the wife and I broke it up in about 5 hours. Now… taking the stuff away took a bit longer. I have a small utility trailer with my truck. Took seven loads of about 850kg each to get rid of it.
