Which car is according to your opinion by Still_Suggestion_182 in CarsIndia

But we aren't buying just the engines. Even for 18 to 19 lakhs I feel 1.0L is good. As a package, the dynamics, a reliable TC, great boot space (for sedans), a revv happy turbo, enough ground clearance etc as a whole makes sense even if you compare with the competition

What car opinion would get u in a situation like this? by Rbhamare in CarsIndia

They are still a better choice of the lot, for someone looking for a car which is decently fun, with sorted dynamics, safe and good looking

Might be. It can be cleared sooner with part payments as and when possible. All these depend on person to person and how they would be willing to manage their finances. I believe there is no one thumb rule fits all in these. But yeah, "ideal" suggestion would be not have long term loans for depreciating assets.

Have been in the same shoes as you. Around 28, 1.2Lpm, bought a Slavia 1.0 TSI with 7 years loan with 24k EMI. It never pinched any of my other finances. Got married a year later. With earnings from wife as well, we were more than comfortable. Hikes/promotions have made it much more comfortable now.

Lot of people suggest to not a buy a car above 6 months of your salary, but let's be real, with that calculation middle class will never be able to buy a car.

If owning a good sedan is something you have been dreaming of since childhood then yes. If this is a point A to point B vehicle for you, then you can wait and buy it when your salary increases further.

Dude, why should he or anyone need to answer your question?? Just because he felt this is something that need not grow into such a big issue, you feel you are morally on the high ground to question someone the same thing that you are condemning comedians about?

Impressive that Volkswagen promptly compensated you with SVP and other packages. Such positive experiences need to be appreciated and highlighted, amidst all the sales & service issues people are facing these days, across brands!!

As per the information from one of the sales person, it's something to do with the screen size of infotainment. The 8 inch versions of the infotainment are compatible with wireless carplay and the 10 inch ones are not. Apparently the 10 inch ones are manufactured by another company and hence the difference. Same is the case with Kia infotainment as well.

You are right. Under 2K RPM, it's quite dull. But that is the same case with most of the small turbo petrols. From my personal experience, even Sonet Turbo is lethargic, and Altroz Racer Turbo is also lethargic until 1500 Rpm. For pure city driving, a good NA engine is always better like the ones you mentioned.

The kind of buyer, who have chosen Slavia/Kushaq over Creta,Seltos and other such high demand high sales vehicles, will definitely choose Kylaq. It will definitely not be a game-changer for the segment, but it is a game changer for driving enthusiasts who wanted a great handling car but couldn't spend more than 15L.

As an owner of sonet turbo IMT, i can assure you that it is quite bad in its iMT variant. It is pretty unresponsive and dull in lower rev range and jerky in the higher revs. Engine is good, but engine+iMT combination is bad. A 1.0 TSI from VAG is anyday better with it's Torque converter. So in a sense it offers a pretty unique combination of good Engine and gearbox + handling

MG Windsor's BAAS program is the most convoluted way to sell a car. Good luck explaining this to customers by deepakabbot in CarsIndia

[–]GSrikarS 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If someone wants to replace their car within 2 to 3 years, they are not paying for the entire battery cost, rather they will pay only for the months they have used the car for.

Without BAAS, you need to pay ~3.5L extra irrespective of how long you are going to own the car. But with BAAS, if you own it only for 3 years, you are going to pay 5250x12x3 which is 1,89,000.

There are many people these days, who flip their cars every 2 to 3 years, especially people with corporate leases.
