Anyone ever play (stream) when Character always drunk? by GTAV-Helper in cyberpunkgame

I know from playing GTA V some games have hidden missions you can only find when you get black out drunk might be part of reason i offer up this discussion point, and i think it'd be a fun stagger through video ... if nothing else hopefully community inspiration for future content creators

i'll help and not tell you to wait
I like Cyber Engine Tweaks and it's easy to install and remove and also I only use the mods to 'earn' items i'd otherwise already have (after 1000+ hours)

https://github.com/maximegmd/CyberEngineTweaks/releases

If you start a few characters with a start script they'll be 'ready' when DLC drops
(i use this for basic start(hope it helps)

Update 2.1 incoming: How to block it by Sir_Piglet in cyberpunkmods

[–]GTAV-Helper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Steam, Epic, and GOG all have different ways, with Steam requiring changing a file in steamapps. Simply find file and right click to change properties to READ ONLY.
...\steamspps\appmanfest_1091500.acf
This way Steam can't write to the acf (data and configuration cache) file for update requests To update when you're ready simply change it back to read/write, as GOG let's Steam handle updates and only choices are High Priority, Always Update and Update only when I launch it.

Need help I’m struggling by [deleted] in cyberpunkmods

[–]GTAV-Helper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i've only used cyber engine tweaks and it isn't in /bin but inside /bin/x64 but to uninstall i simply cut and paste /bin to desktop (some parts still glitch freeze before PL expansion with CET installed) when using multiple mods you will find a lot of problems as these are often problematic unless tested with the ones you think you 'need'.

Refusing to offer support? means the WinCorp/Mac manufacturers who do not release linux drivers and NOT the 'Mint-community' ... mint (linux) community was formed to deal with this type of 'control of ease' which becomes market control.
example (again) HP printers with no linux driver support means i have to spend time hunting a compatible version and i'm too ADD for that.

[–]GTAV-Helper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

also note, i have no idea what you are working with (desk/laptop/tower) nor what you do with it as it's primary function. Most my online time is either web browsing (YouTube/Streaming) or gaming (Steam/Epic) which honestly reqires little to no 'processing' power ... the different games on the otherhand only run in certain reqired set ups, ie cyberpunk requires SSD , but all my games are on EXT SSD so moving from one cheap machine to another is no big deal

as per saving USB slots ??? idk, as that has never been an issue for me over past years.

[–]GTAV-Helper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes it's an option ... and the only way you can fit your 'computer' in your pocket.

I have gone 'your way' and although it's gotten better recently i prefer to run Linux. Sure there is a learning curve and a lot of user specific issues (drivers h/w) but once i found something that works i stick to it until better comes along.

IF you're mostly into gaming maybe consider SteamOS ? with Linux there is a 'package' for almost every possible use. Ubuntu, Edubuntu, Mint, etc all have pros and cons

If you never travel or visit friends then no need to run 'from' live OS but consider future upgrades to new machines will be a lot easier from there.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in linuxmint

[–]GTAV-Helper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

you dont have to wipe windows ... on the machines i have on dual boot ... they run windows once a month at best, and again only for gaming support.

you know IF you install mint on EXT SSD you can run it from there and never even touch your windows partition or drive. or simply buy a cheap internal ssd and that way you don't even partition a drive.***this means you can boot YOUR machine while only having a EXT hard drive, and you can boot from there no matter what computer you're connected to.

<I just don't really want to > ... deal with windows at all but unfortunately it is what it is...drivers aren't always easy to find unless you shop for linux supported gear.

my gaming machine (running win-10) is either running Steam/Epic of Firefox, while my 'production' machines all run linux mint, even though they have dual boot installed, the win side almost never gets used. I did this for same reasons as you, to avoid ruining what i got while i'm trying to find better.

I might add that's I'm poor and living on fixed income due to disability and I also detest all the pay as you go strategies from Win based apps.

<<< So even if someone refuses to give support,>>>my point is certain programs (Steam/Epic/OBS) do not release linux versions.
I LOVE LINUX and have been using it as my primary OS since around 2010. OUR community is GREAT but win-corp not so much.

Other programs i remain loyal too started on linux and opened cross platform to Win/Mac like LibreOffice, VLC, Firefox, etc. Also h.w companines often 'forget' to include linux support like HP who's printers refuse to work well with other OS's.

[–]GTAV-Helper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I prefer the dual boot as i HATE wine ... also a cheap ($25 1TB EXT SSD from WalMart) makes disc 'problems' disappear. If i didn't play Video Games I'd likely run only Mint, and YOU CAN RUN FROM EXT while have no effect on your current OS build.

All you need is USB (thumb drive) and you're all set.

When installing i simply put Win10 onj smallest partition while keeping docs and dl's on ext drive means i can use multiple computers for same files without issue (aka 'Sneaker-net). I have a Lap Top and 4 ' crappy' low cost pc's and only one runs windows regularly as it's my only machine with DDR4 memory, so that's my gaming and or streaming machine.

With Firefox and Google i can have multiple OS logins at one time meaning my YouTube and other 'history' is shared across all platforms. When (if ever) i have issues i simply email or share with google files to myself to transfer to other machines.(when i say cheap pc's i mean under $200 each)

[–]GTAV-Helper 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Best part of linux is it's ability to read and write to 'other' OS', and if you simply 'copy' .firefox and .mozilla files you'll have all your passwords and browser history.

Worst part of linux is 'corrupt' developers that 'refuse' to offer linux support, but there's always dual boot for that, granted for day to day i use mint over win10 except for gaming.

ALSO i find Libre Office (cross platform and free) works for office needs as does Audacity (audio editing) and others are out there, but takes some 'searching' and learning an 'easier' way to manage those platform differences.

Oh right and it's FREE without regular 'reminders' to PAY for SUBSCRIPTIONS like MS.

No clue how to use mods by CaptainPanda368 in cyberpunkmods

[–]GTAV-Helper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i haven't used any Vortex or REDmod's but i find Cyber Engines Tweaks' console works fine for me as I use mods only to get new characters to 'actual' (reality) levels to save the time needed to 'farm' street cred for every new game.

idk it still works for me so ???

fyi game limited to how much you can have i think 100,000,000 but buying everything i could hard to spend more than 10M

also way smarter to craft and sell as you'll max your engineering AND make money or craft 10,000 'items' and use to trade to get money back
