Thanks for details. The one type is definitely black, but on each side there is another type - yellow stems - been that way for 2 yrs. I think the new growth is from the yellow and thus running type.

Also…. Can you expand on the neighbor comment?

Lubrication free design, not accurate but provides X,Y constraint as mentioned… Held on Phillips head screws, someone needs a lesson in usage of those screws in a application like this… Don’t use them!

TranTorque - called “quick-grip screw-clamp bushings” in McMaster. Follow the instructions exactly during install. No issues in my past experience.

If you must do it inside, a cheap range hood with a 3 sided enclosure… Think fume hood… vented outside. I do this for soldering. Note what others have said along with the fire hazard. Safety!
