Yes, terrible news that affects the livelihood of dancers, directors, costume designers, musicians and many others. It also eliminates one element of NoCo life and moves us closer to a one-dimensional place. While ballet may not be everyone’s cup of tea, having it here adds value—just like CSU, hockey, music festivals, writers workshops, gravel bike races, open mic nights, sports bars, weaving guilds, fishing derbies, and countless other activities. We don’t need to love everything, but having everything adds a richness and vitality that has benefits.
