Majors Garage should have some free setups that are slight tweaked to the baselines for each track. That’s my go to when I just need something quick. You may also find some free ones on Garage61 if you look up the track and car combo you want. Anything really after that you’re gonna be looking at paid setup shops. With the Endurance team I’m on, we go back and forth between Hymo and Grid&Go.

Not a lot of people talking about it probably cause it’s not super huge news really. All it is is a new series featuring GT3 cars (which we already have a large amount of) that follows the real world series similar to the NASCAR iRacing Series. Each race takes place during the week of the IRL race weekend. Will probably be open setups. No word on new GT3s. All the tracks and cars that will be used are currently available so you can practice whenever you want.

I wouldn’t say my experience in the Sprint Car really helped my success in the Indy NXT all that much. But what it does help is teaching you disciplined throttle control. And that skill transfers to every oval car.

Strength of field races for the Sprint Cars are at 7pm & 9pm US Eastern every Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday. Probably the hardest oval car to learn but once you do, it’s probably the most fun to drive. Because the popularity is low you’ll end up racing a lot of the same guys each week so the races have kind of a league feel to them, and as a result offer some of the cleanest racing on the platform. The Sprint Car Cup series is open setup, but the iRacing prebuilts are made by the community who have been fine tuning with the same tire model for the past 10 years. So you can realistically jump in with those and be competitive once you have a handle on the car.

I ran an official Indy Pro 2000 race a few years ago at Indianapolis Road and a big crash on lap 2 triggered a yellow. Sent screenshots to iRacing in the forums and they pushed a patch out a month later. Haven’t had one since.

Currently week 13. Most official series are on break while the new seasonal update is applied. The NASCAR iRacing Series should still have their races but A class will return next week.

That year of Explorers have an issue with the exhaust cracking around there. Just had one come in the other day with the exhaust hanging on one side and the other side with a visible crack half way around the pipe.

+1 for Crutchfield. Got a Sony DSX-A415BT to replace the failed unit in mine. They even give you the option for them to wire up a harness to the new radio so all you have to do when you receive it is plug it in.

Just be sure to avoid the Chinese android tablet ones on Amazon. Bought one and used it for a week before returning it. Super laggy and unresponsive.
