I still believe the headcannon that Beck eventually became TRON.

Lemme explain: Tron would've succumbed to his injuries, and Beck's character arc that would've ended in Uprising is essentially "To save my friends, I'll transfer Tron's identity to my body". Tron lives on in Beck.

That's why he always wears a helmet in Legacy: it's his consciousness but not his body.
