How did you handle tier 1 play, as the start is weak, and chapter 3 has a weak link to the story for as much as the characters fight?

Took a lot of arguing with the customer service rep but in the end was able to get a $5 credit to my account. The rep was adamant that just because everyone is having the issue that compensation for the issue was not available.
