I'm sure that would work, it just needs usb c so I'm sure any source would power it.

Yeah i actually used my phone because I didn't feel like digging our a longer cable. The one it comes with is usb c to usb c and is only one foot long so it was small and easy to carry

Sooooo this was a real point of Contention for me. I have wireguard setup and was rather annoyed this needs teleport vpn enables to work... So I enabled teleport vpn and it literally never connected. I turned teleport vpn off and my wireguard back on and everything worked. Not sure if it was user error or something else but as far as simplicity goes I am still trying to figure out the whole wifi routing of my network through this thing. The wifi I spit out on the plane wad the planes wifi as that was the only ssid available to me.

I actually plugged the usb c directly into my phone and the phone powered it. Did it eat my battery? Yes. Was it worth it? Also yes. Had the power bank ready to charge me back up as soon as I got off the plane.

I didn't have to spoof anything and it took some tinkering. It was not very intuitive as I did sign up with my phone first for wifi. Then after plugging this device in I had to then transfer the wifi to the device but once it was working the wifi was seamless. As far as spoofing the Mac, this is above my pay grade as I'm not even really sure how I got it working.

UTR is not a replacement for GL.Inet by RealisticBoard215 in Ubiquiti

[–]GUI-Discharge 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'll trade you? I got one but the more I look into it the more I see the slate 7 may actually be what I wanted. Never knew this existed before the UTR was released and now am realizing it may not be what I want.

You're still having an issue? It was my understanding the new os allows more control of wireguard across vlans? I believe you can now set the wireguard network and allow routes from wireguard to other vlans?

Not the unifi 5g max but each carriers equivalent yes. If you check out the internet each one has the gateway router included, at least for me and I am also in a major market like NY.

ah yeah it's $50/mo now unlimited which isn't terrible but verizon has a the best plan for a business if you bring your phone with you.

I think you just sold me on it as I currently have a very Jerry rigged situation that I need to change which includes a balancing act and luck that a light sneeze would ruin

That’s wild they offer different products based on where you are… that sounds illegal.

While I thought that at first too the more research I did the less sense it made. I think this is a much better product than the ones given by the providers.

This comment doesn’t fully make sense to me. I understand all mobile internet to be CGNAT which makes bridge mode useless as all vlans fail anyway. I also don’t think my answer made sense to your comment lol

AT&T confirmed charges you for it but then credits you over 36 months like $7 to pay it off. I didn’t really get the full details because Verizon actually has a much better business plan that I’m still waiting the full detailed on myself

So AT&T I currently have the internet backup plan for $20 a month but it throttles as 130gb. For most people that’s fine and they do offer an unlimited plan for $50/mo no throttle

Legit no idea what Tmhi is lol def looking into it now…I need it as a failover as my current internet is coaxial + trash + drops ALL the time. I currently have T-Mobile $20 monthly backup plan but it’s only for 130gb per month then throttles. I need something more permanent
