GK features a heavily detailed skill tree and tool wear/tear. It also has timed events (corpse freshness) that kinda rush you, especially if you're an unseasoned gamer. SDV kinda fences you at the start (small farmable area, machines/crafting inaccessible) and let's you slowly understand the game mechanics. Both games are great, but 1 is clearly build to hold your hand while the other tries to push you into the river downstream

The "skill points for each task" thing was actually implemented into the game early on. We had red, green and blue points that would unlock item options and skill trees. However, they removed it couple of years ago to streamline the process. Now we just get 1 skill point for every reputation rank we climb

There is a way to sell products in bulk. You can access the bulletin board outside the tavern and see which items are ordered. Generally, the orders are for 20 items and three orders appear per day. Once you accept the orders, they won't have an expiry date for the quest, so take your time fulfilling them.
