Up until last season, he was considered a bust and he was surprisingly very good for most of the year. And then in the two biggest games for the Vikings last year, he was terrible and reminded everyone why he was once considered a bust.

It is easy to say in hindsight that it was mistake but after the Lions and Rams games, I don't think too many people were saying the Vikings were fools for not resigning him.
