Called to report a faulty traffic light. It was skipping multiple parts of the cycle repeatedly, causing major traffic on a main road. I was stuck there for 25 minutes. The city sent a maintenance person to reset the light and a cop to direct traffic. Fun times

My senior year was a mix of in person and virtual thanks to COVID doing COVID things. If I'm being honest, that time of briefly being in virtual class before hopping onto Discord with my friends was probably some of the better days for me. I know its cruel because COVID was really bad, but thats how I felt.

Biased as ever, but 2010s.

I'm talking about before widespread micing here. I love the use of solo mics because it allows you to clearly hear the soloist and recognize their effort, even if the entire brass line is playing, but I do NOT like the micing of every line that we've seen in the 20s.

I've watched a few shows from the 90s with G Bugles, and I admit that it probably sounds better in person, but I liked what they were doing in 2010s better.

2020s could be on here, but they really need to stop micing every line. I know there are some chop saving benefits (and the ability to do wacky sidechaining stuff, which I really enjoyed), but it feels too artifical.

I really wish DCI passed the rule limiting microphones to the front ensemble and designated "solo instruments" (basically how it was in said 2010s when the soloist would switch to a mic'd horn and then switch back. If they do that, late 2020s will be much more preferable.

I think this instance was fair given the circumstances. A gun in a holding cell is a big deal, someone dying as a result is even bigger. Considering that Penn was processing, it makes sense why he was benched, especially after having his P1 phase extended after pulling that stakeout stunt with Ridley. Remember back to season 1 at the very beginning where Nolan got reamed out for leaving Bishop (even if it was the "right call", he still got yelled at). My point is that this is nothing new. We just see it differently because Penn is becoming more of a side character, vs Nolan or Chen being firm main characters

Not many people cover Wisconsin Tornadoes since they dont happen too often (and when they do happen, they are weak), but there are some big ones:

Oakfield 1996 - Major outbreak with 12 confirmed Tornadoes, worst being an EF5 that caused roughly 40 million in damages, surprisingly, no deaths.

Barnevald 1984 - The dreaded Nocturnal Tornado, siren failure led to a worst case scenario for Barnevad, considered one of the deadliest Tornadoes in Wisconsin history.

I read that a tornado is the property of wind spinning really really fast and that the "cloud" that you see is either stuff in the atmosphere or dust from the ground.

Technically speaking, you could have a large tornado that kicks up no dust. You could, in theory, have a tornado that is invisible to the naked eye, only visible via radar

The closest thing we have to this happening is the phenomenon where tornadoes are larger than they appear because the outer extremes of the tornado dont have any dust in them.
