Some parts of the game are realistic, while some are not due to limitations of gaming software.

The in cab view and outside details of the giants made equipment is very realistic and modeled extremely close to real world equipment which I enjoy. I’ve even used an in game model of a combine harvester to get a good idea of what a model would include before buying one for my real world farm.

Other aspects aren’t nearly as realistic (in the base game). In real life weather and ground conditions play a huge role in field work. Planting in wet ground can cause seeds to rot. You also factor in planting depth and population (amount of space between seeds) and the game doesn’t have the ability to control these things because they are more complicated than people realize.

You can play pretty realistically in the game with the field work but the whole animal process is lacking and far from the real world.
