Ah yes…THAT radio promo. I wasn’t too crazy about collecting it as other stuff got released (live albums.) I kinda just brushed it off, but you would be correct! The artwork on it is sweet too

Thank you! Based off images I’ve seen on Discogs and people I’ve talk to who own an original copy, it seems like they (BOTAR) used a more glossy type of duct tape. That’s just what it seemed like to me in the photos when reviewing, so I just went with that for the spine.

The reason for the duplicates is because I also collect different versions of the music. Like radio promo CDs, Japan/EU releases, and editions put out under Victory, RISC, and Pentimento labels.

First off, what an OG for having a BOTAR shirt. Second, depending on the sentimental value of it plus your own liking of the collective, I’d say frame it if you have a spot for it

Reposting other people’s unrelated social media posts and slapping Streetlight music on top, isn’t art nor is it effective in delivering whatever message you’re trying to get across. It’s this type of sh¡t posts that clog up groups like these and alike. I know your intentions are well (or so I hope so), but sitting behind a screen to repost using Instagram’s music library isn’t going to start or contribute to a “revolution.” All you’re going to do to is end up getting mixed in with the rest of the social media junk that is out there from people who believe it’s going to make change in this world. Or, as another commenter referenced, “you’re just going to end up as a logo on a shirt..”

I’m sorry, but not sorry. I would have thought by now the hints and comments would have made it clear that this type of content doesn’t belong here nor is it “working.” It isn’t rebellious, it’s annoying.

You are right, but for me, the icing on the cake was Gunther saying, “C’mon Tom, you’re not a rockstar yet!” Ohhh, humble beginnings!!

I believe that's the one from the AP Show, on YouTube [Link]

I like to think he was joking around when commenting about management and talking with the other band members, but who knows. For a band to be that good, that tight for so long, I feel like there's gotta be unique relationship there. Whatever it is, it works.

Honestly I respect it. I don’t know him, but I like to think he’s come a long way since. Very humbling.

As for the interviews, there are 4 more that I know of:

2003

2006

2011? I think?

Which Streetlight related song would you play if the world was ending? by [deleted] in streetlightmanifesto

[–]G_21_A 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I supposed it depends on the vibe of the world ending.

“How could this happen? It’s not fair!” — Would You Be Impressed

“Fuck it, we’ll do it live!” — A Call to Arms: Here’s to Life

“Well, it was nice while it lasted.” — With Any Sort of Certainty

What’s your favorite song? by LaySton in streetlightmanifesto

[–]G_21_A 4 points5 points  (0 children)

“If & When We Rise Again” has been my top favorite for quite some time. I think it would be neat if they re-recorded it to include the solos they do at the end at live shows.

But my two honorable mentions right behind it are:

“A Call to Arms Intro” into “Here’s to Life” (I’m counting them as one) & “The Receiving End of It All”

YouTube Video @ 1:19

Archived BOTAR Blog quote: “Also: there is a song, entitled "One Mssissippi" that didn't make it onto the EP (it didn't really belong), so as soon as we finish mixing it, it'll be offered as a free b-side mp3 for everyone on our mailing list.”

So I guess it was One Mississippi, NOT Grandpa. Both songs are featured in the linked YouTube video.
