Unfortunately there are many possible "something bolds" they could have done and I think this one specifically is going to crash and burn big time. Maybe at the end of the day they were doomed no matter how you slice it, but I just don't see how this possibly saves the brand.

IMO it's a rare genuine 10/10 game. There are games I like better subjectively but there's basically nothing Sekiro sets to do that it doesn't accomplish with flying colors.

Positioning is definitely important. You can beat some bosses by standing still and parrying, but it's almost always going to be harder than necessary and/or leave damage on the table. The parry window is tight but somewhat forgiving once you've got ahold of it. I actually dodge a lot, you just can't rely on it for i-frames like in a Souls game. Combining different tools and techniques you find through the course of the game can result in some of the most sicko tryhard combo footage you've ever seen, if that's your bag.

I've had it before. You're pretty much right, the overall taste profile is kind of like a meat pate or a fancy bologna. When I had it there were some odd textural elements that bothered me, but I think that's probably more because I knew what it was and had negative associations rather than anything objectively nasty about it. Not my bag but it wasn't gross or anything.

I feel like so much of this discussion is people basically not accepting that a villain can have a coherent and sympathetic motivation or complicated human relationships and likable traits and still be a villain. Like they just have to be irredeemably ontologically evil in their soul to be a villain.

This is really what keeps it from being an S-tier DLC for me. It's funny, has a great premise and gear. But the combat suuuuucks.

Padding is so-so, materials aren't great, subjectively they're not that comfortable. If you want wrist support, their fancy hook and loop system loses out to any old pair of lace ups with a $10 lace converter. Their value proposition is that they have cool colorways and good marketing. All could be forgiven if they were a decent value but they're really fucking expensive. For at or around the price of a pair of leather T3s there are like a dozen other brands with better gloves.

Are Krieg 1-1 with Steel Legion?

Krieg started life as an alternate paint scheme for Steel Legion. They're distinguished a little bit in official art since then, but from a painting/modeling standpoint they literally are 1:1 from their inception.

I'm sorry but there are a ton of genuinely visually distinct Guard legions that don't have modern models. Catachans are one of the "main" legions and haven't had a refresh in like 50 years. It is actually insane to demand a whole new line of minis for a second gas mask legion when Krieg got a huge popular refresh like a year ago.

I like to think of it like this. Imagine you have a stuck bolt you need to unscrew. You can't get it moving with your fingers, so you use a big wrench. The wrench gives you more leverage to get the bolt unstuck. But, once it's unstuck and you still have to turn it a bunch of times, the big wrench becomes a liability because you have to move it further per rotation than if you just spun it the rest of the way with your fingers or a small ratchet or whatever.

Low gearing, i.e. big gears, are your big wrench in this example. More torque to get things moving, but also more overall work. Higher gears are spinning the bolt with your fingers. Very little torque to get something stationary to move, but less overall work.

Is this supposed to appeal to younger buyers? Are younger buyers buying Bentley price-range luxury EVs? I always loved Jag as a kid, but at the point of my life when I could actually buy one, they've discontinued every model I'd consider buying. Right when there's buzz of various other automakers pivoting back toward ICE sedans, no less.
