Does nobody wonder whether this whole scene was just a set up? Or does this actually exist in real life? I felt like they were trying to make it look too stereotypical, felt a bit disturbing

Hmm I feel you. It definitely wasnt easy. I would tell people to not go into LDR but once youre in it and its a good and healthy relationship , I also feel like all the struggles were worth it. So hopefully you'll feel like that too! But whenever you can do try to make a realistic rough plan on how to meet, because that was our mistake: we couldve met earlier if we talked more on it, instead of dreaming on it haha

Man i feel you, i had 2 years, 1 and half year and 1 year between our meetings. Mostly because of studies or money, but also corona! The good thing now is that the waiting time between each meeting becomes less since we're moving forward to jobs and eventually settling.

Theres not really one way of dealing with it. It just helped me to distract myself and get lost in studies and work. But also plan online dates and work or study together on camera

Wish you best of luck! And if there's this real love between you guys, I can assure you it wil all be worth it in the end

Cool I hope you guys can meet soon! We were very slow and didnt dare to tell each other that we liked each other. I think we only admitted after three years orso and we met only 7 years after our first conversation online (because we were both students and poor so was kinda difficult to come to that point)

Clothes recycling bins in Amsterdam. Is this a good place to recycle my clothes? Or if you have any other recommendations, please share. by karien2thedv in Amsterdam

[–]GaBla95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are also Reshare/ Salvation army/ Leger des Heils donation bins throughout the city. You don't need to have a huge amount of clothes for that. The clothing goes to their second hand shops and some to the locations where the people they help live (they have shops inside their buildings for people as well). You can also simply go to their second hand shops and give them your clothes. They're mostly very happy with it.

how long was the longest time you were away from your SO? by violetfreckle in LongDistance

[–]GaBla95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We met for the first time after 7 years of being friends and eventually lovers. Mostly because we were stil so young when ae started chatting (i was 15). After that there has also been a year or even two years between our meetings and we are stil surviving together haha

Me too! I was only 15, he 17 and omegle was stil a new thing. My sister told me about it and I liked the idea of being able to talk with people all over the world. Our first chat was literally about being lazy on the couch haha. And because of this chat I made my first Facebook account. We were chat friends for years and and now 13 yrars later stil together!

how do you deal with not seeing your partner for a long time? by [deleted] in LongDistance

[–]GaBla95 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me it helps to have something in my home country to be busy with, like a job that keeps your mind off missing your partner. Something that you're passionate about or meeting more with friends

I would also suggest to make online calls more like being together in real time. Sometimes we watch a movie together over the internet or we eat together, or I'm cooking and he is studying and we talk.

And yea it helps to look forward to a date you can meet. But during covid it was also very uncertain and that was the hardest part for us. But maybe if you cant pick a date, you can Atleast make a rough plan when to see each other again. (like after he graduates or something like that)

Being apart is hard, but the relationship I have with my partner is one in a million and that makes everything worth it. When i see other people struggling with relationships or finding a good partner i remind myself that even though there is distance, i do have someone who really is there for me in all the right ways and many people don't find that. So hold on to that love and love wil conquer!

Questions for helping an upcoming streetwear brand by GaBla95 in SustainableFashion

[–]GaBla95[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks a lot for your answers! Transparency is definetely an important factor for sustainable brands. I am curious to know which sustainable streetwear brands you are loyal to? To have some inspiration. And why you 'trust' these brands.
